Masks come down to preference once you get to the higher quality ones, generally $50 or more. I prefer the Empire E-Vents over anything else I've tried on, but I've never tried a good JT (like a Proflex). I like my E-Vents more than my friend's Grill, and so did my other friend - so he sold that Grill to the other friend and got E-Vents :(. Now another guy on my team has Avatars (like E-Vents but not soft ears) and the guy with Grills is looking into getting E-Vents.

I don't wear camoflauge and neither does anyone on my team, and yes, we do play woods. And we don't just wear jeans and t-shirts or whatever, we actually wear red and black jerseys and all.

My advice on camo is: Go to the source!

Instead of purchasing a paintball oriented camo which is by all means fine, try going for something like CADPAT or MARPAT, something real. CADPAT is my personal favorite and many digital paterns are attempted replicas of it. Purchase any of this at a surplus store for relativly cheap, you will not get fancy squeegee pockets, nor will you get a nice logo on your be-hind.

But heck, if its good enoph for the Canadian forces to use in life-death situations, Its good enoph to use in a woodsball game!

+1

Go to a local PB shop and try on masks, only way you will know what fits you right and feels good. Taking our advice is useless, our head/face's aren't shaped liked yours. You need to see what fits YOU and feels good on YOU. Then decide.

As to camo, i concur with Z3R0. I wear "speedball" clothing when i play. My teammate wears all BRIGHT red, i wear a white mask with a LONG red headband, goes down to knees. Have no trouble blending in.

If you want camo, then look at fusions ultralites, they breathe better. Avoid real camo if at all possible. Yeah it looks nice and works for soldiers, but you aren't one. You are playing paintball. Real camo gets too hot and stuffy. "Speedball" style clothes breathe a million times better, are easier to clean after a hit (usually wipe clean with a little dab of water) and are just nicer overall. This is from someone who used to wear real camo, then wore hunting camo, now wears Paintball clothes. PB stuff wins out.
