Ok i so i got a new a-5 and went to play with it last week. The problem i was having is that when i connect my c02 tank to the marker it will dry fire a few times and automatically cock itself. I thought that was kinda dangerous because if there was paint in the hopper then i though that it would shoot a few balls lol.(no worries barrel cover was in place ;) ). When i got home i dissembled the gun and checked if all the o-rings were in place and as far as i could tell they were.

Has anyone else seen this problem and what could i do to fix it. thanks for the help

did you cock the marker before airing up?

do that. This is probably the force of the hammer spring cycleing the valve. I doubt any paint would make it into the chamber though, without full cycles.

He's definitely correct on that. My A5 does that sometimes as well as both my 98C's
