So anyone else love closing (like at a fast food joint) but hate it at the same time? i love the freedom and atmosphere but i can never sleep afterwards (might be all the free coke and frosty floats), hence this thread starting at 2:40 am pst. anyway question stated above.

I closed alot..and the other night i didnt leave until 230

*story*
We were getting the stacks cleaned (exhaust hoods over the grills and fryers)

First the guys who were doing it screwed up on the times, so i had to tell them to come back an hour later...then i told them that they could only take the chicken vat so i could keep the store open with the grills and fry vats still working..when they start, they took everything..so i had no food whatsoever

Then one of the guys informs me that there is a massive gas leak...and they start yelling at me...well, they were the ones who broke the bloody gas pipe. I turn of the gas to the store, close early, and i called my opener, and she came in early and fixed it all up with the gas companies to come in and fix it ASAP.
By this time i had been breathing in gas fumes for over 2 hours..and start to feel not so well...long story short..i was sick for two days from the gas fumes...and my BIG BIG BIG boss is filing a huge complaint against the guys who were cleaning the stacks.

wow...i always wondered what it's like to be a a manager there, whelp
well, i work as a hospital, third floor L&D/labor and delivery/nursery/nicu/post-partum secretary, so i have to multitask like up the BUTTS
thank gawd i work at night, not much is going on and i don't ever hardly have to put up with visitors
i'll be pointing out alot of things wrong when i get to my work for the other people who has morning and evening shifts
i caught someone using two of the same id's at differents times, to get someone else in with their own
you have to have your own id to get in, thus sad to say, i had to kick both of them out of the hospital due to patient protection policy
and another, we had two people trying to slip in into nursery to steal a baby, by luring all night security to one end of the hospital by means of a fire alarm
sad to say, what the perpentrators didn't kno, was when we have a code red (fire alarm) all major doors close and all exit routes open
everyone becomes security on the 3rd floor and stand by each door (exit as well) to make sure no-one climbs up during it, or "attempts" to break in through and get to nursery
we caught the lady coming to steal a baby (via security cams, she had visited not to long ago, and threatened to take a baby that she doesn't even kno who it belongs to thoroughly) coming up the security exit from 1st floor
unfortunatly, the whole dealy is still in courts and she just prolonged it

that's about as "chaotic" or bad it's gotten for me lately

You guys are lucky, I close at a college town so despite the fact that we close at two we can get 50 people at 1:55 and have to clean most of the kitchen over again. Last Friday I didn't get out till 4:45 am and than was at the paintball field at 11.
