So me and my girlfriend were driving two days ago. Nothing out of the ordinary. No seatbelts, talking having fun. We just got out of her driveway, then she hit the shoulder a litlle. You know those damn woman drivers. She swerved all the way to the other side of the road. Rediculously overcorrected it. Then brought it back...and this part makes me laugh. She takes her hands off the wheel and covers her eyes. This was her moms Jeep Liberty. Which is notorious for, you guess it. Rolling. We rolled three times into the ditch and landed on our wheels. Next thing I knew my foot was hanging out the windsheild. So I pulled it out and asked her if she was okay. She couldnt move because of some terrible bruising on her side. I got out of the car and expierienced the best adrenaline high of my life. I called 9-1-1 but hung up on them shortly because of all the questions they were asking. Lol. Eventually an ambulance got there and she got carried in. The paramedics kept trying to wrap up my ankle but I just kept running around asking if she was okay. I couldnt sit still but eventually they strapped me down and took us both in the ambulance. We got to the hospital and the doctors checked me over and then they all left the room for a little. Emily, my girlfriend was in the room next to me. So I snuck out in my boxers, bought a Coke and sat in her room and made sure she was okay. The doctors werent too happy with me but whatever. I got cleared from the hospital that night but she had to stay so I slept there with her. She bruised and sore but I'm perfectly fine. Were very lucky.

SCP - dude wear a seat belt. You're ugly enough without a windshield face. Glad you guys are ok.

Trucks are like cats since they seem to land on their wheels. I rolled 2 trucks in my life. Well I rolled one a few times and cart wheeled the other front over rear. Both landed on their wheels.

Not a smart move, both the covering of the face and letting go of the wheel but more importantly having your seat belts off. But its good you two are okay.

Same with station wagons. By brother rolled an old '75 GM wagon on several occasions every one of them landed wheel side down.

Seatbelts, seatbelts, seatbelts. Can't say it enough. I've been to hundreds of car accidents, and most people who wore a seatbelt walked away. I have seen many people killed and paralysed from not buckling up. I'm glad you made it okay, but please! always buckle up in the future. A friend of mine was killed several years ago when he rolled his truck and didn't wear his seatbelt. That was a tough accident to see.

But not TypeII (van style) ambulances. They like to stay firmly on their side... ouch. Trust me.

Dude...you almost won a Darwin. ;) Seatbelts are the difference between those who pass on DNA, and those who don't. :P But I guess no use in saying that now huh? Either you figured it out from this, or you never will. I'm ever so glad you both are ok.

Seatbelts win u a thousand internetz...I've been thrown through a windshield. It was really cool until you hit the ground.

I was the only one not wearing a seatbelt because the car was full, we drifted across the median, the driver over corrected and hit a tractor trailer doing 60. I'm absolutely lucky to be alive, and walking, and talking. Seatbelts save lives.
I am amazed that I spend countless hours on this site yet only post during a small percentage of that time.

Mistake one: No seat belts.
Mistake two: Letting a woman drive.

Don't make either mistake again.

Blah. I hate ER doctors/nurses. I've walked into the ER about 4-5 times with them trying to get me to leave because I wasnt on a list or this and that. Every time the parents of my friends told them to let me alone, not that I was paying attention to them anyway. xD
