Ive been investigating the sl-74 from Planet Eclipse and i found a place that can get me one almost locally for $2399 Canadian. From what ive seen all ill need to ruin a sl-74 and have the best marker i can get is just put a good air source and loader on? I wanted to see what you all thought of getting a SL-74

I have an EGO7, and I have shot an SL74. There is almost no performance difference. Unless you put them on a scale you can not tell a weight difference once you put the air and hopper on. You can by a Zick kit if you are worried about kick on your Ego7...but I wouldn't recommend it. We have a few guys with Zick kits, and I can't really tell a difference at all.

That is what I think. The PL SL74s are cool because of their anno. You could also tell people you had an SL74...

Ya i see what you are saying i guess my bigges thing is im trying to find something high performance that no one else has that i can feel like i can be proud about, but then again the ego is something that you could do that with

Just order one and get a cool color kit for it. They offer all kinds of colors. They are absolutely awesome guns. I wouldn't buy anything else after shooting one of the new Egos.

Get the 07, buy a eigenrammer/Ti rammer/zick kit, custom oddpb.com anno/laser, and have a REAL one of one, and preforms the same as the SL-74, and still have some money left over.

The sad part after the odd anno and the new rammer you still would have 150 or so before you could get a Sl74

Like said go for the 07 ego and new ram and there will no difference.
You can build a timmy for that price if you buy used parts as well.

 Egos are perfected timmy technology, but most people don't know that. Egos are nice and light and all, but I'd rather get a Gen 4 Infamous/Empire timmy and an Eigenram and you get pretty much the same performance. But Bob Long's coming out with new Timmies for '08 as well, so we'll see how that goes.
