Site rails = accessories sales.

That marker is listed for $99. There's a place in the market for it, especially with the Tippmann name. I could see them for rentals.

I would have to give Tippmann kudos on this one. Preformance and durabilty wise it would be one of the better sub $100 markers out there.

Any idea what accessories fit it? Are the in production 98/a5 accessories going to fit or will it be a separate line?

The Carver One uses 98C barrels and stocks.

People will have to becareful on barrel choices. You can't use a barrel with tapering on the out side or too thick without modifying the shroud.

It doesn't look half bad, especially given the price. They were even smart enough to put the porting at the end of the barrel this time. It even gives off a streamlined look.

I've never been a big fan of tons of rails, but I can overlook that due to it being a Tippmann US Army marker. The only thing I dislike is they're still using cast metal - but given the price I can't complain too much.

I'm not huge on milsim. But for $100.00 I'd consider getting it and doing it up.

I think it looks pretty cool. Still based on the m98 internals, right?

Yeah. They may not be great internals but at least they work.

They may not be the most efficient, but I have found them to be pretty reliable.

I really like this marker, because it offers beginnners a cheap option that isn't a speedball marker. If its based off the 98c, it will be durable and reliable, as previously noted, adding another benefit to this good ideea by tippmann.

I really like it. It's nice to see Tippmann starting to make some milsim guns that aren't Generic Evil Black Rifles (This one has a serious Beretta CX-4 vibe to it).

And for $99.99, it's a fantastic starter gun. Looks great, simple, durable and cheap as hell. I'd take this over your regular 98C/98Ps any day if only because it doesn't have that goofy foregrip. I'm planning to grab a few for loaner guns-slap some R/Ts on them and one of those Proto Primo loaders (Or the Archon versions, but I'll bet the Proto one will be a lot cheaper and available soon, what with being a Proto and all), maybe throw on a stock, and you've got a nice little rocker for your beginner friends.

Yeah, it's Yet Another Tippmann Blowback (We're up to 6 in production now...98 Platinum, A-5, X-7, Carver One, Alpha Black and Project Salvo), but you can't argue there isn't something to the design-it's simple and cheap, exactly what beginners need.

thats my only complaint about the 98

i had to mill off part of the grip so i could fit my mag clip on. with the front grip there it does not allow the mag to fit in properly so you can put in all 4 screws to secure it.. for the longest time i was only able to get 2 screws in... now that i have some of the fore grip shaved off.. it fits perfectly

edit/
looking at Denny Tippmann Jr in this vid ... wow.. i saw some Elite weekend stuff on youtube and denny didnt seem to have a whole lot of gray hair then..

yeah i agree, that fore-grip is so obnoxious. I already have two friends who have all but ordered this marker, so i can't wait to see it in action when they eventually get it.

This could be a smart move.

But, can the premodel a5s and 98s fit with it?
