I dont see a problem to issuing a permit to a baby, so that when that child is taught responsibile firearm safety and handling, he might not need to deal with the whole permit and stuff by then..this is approximately 15 years or so EARLY. who knows? maybe by then, the permit would be MUCH restrictive...but a permit granted in the past does not mean it is null and void in the future, unless such a permit has an expiration date, much liek a car permit.

If the baby shoots the parents with the shotgun, the stupidity is resolved.

Or that the grandfather thought it proper to gift a shotgun to a 10 month old child... :D

Well...Its kind of cool...and makes a statement...

Ironically that the child has a permit before he can legally own a gun :D

Before he can understand what the hell he's doing.
Guns take responsibility, I really don't think anyone should own one under the age of 18. Plain stupid otherwise.

Shouldn't everyone named Bubba own a shotgun? I mean, there must be a law or something.

Only in America, only in America.

if it was giving to him by his grandfather then it kinda makes sense. it doesnt matter how old you are you can get a gift like that from a grandp parent just because he has to doesnt mean he will get to use it at that age.....

oh please. give up the "parents dont know what they are doing" crap. sorry to dissapoint, but the kid wont get his shotty until he is old enough. why dont we worry about cleaning up drunk drivers and drug dealers before we ever start to worry about the slight possibility that the kid kills his parents with a gun thats not even at his house. more people are killed in drug and alcohol related incidences than baby's with foid cards. my four year old sister cant even lift up my stock 98c, w/o hopper, paint or air! so no, its not a threat to society.

and lemming, that hasty generalization of people under 18, is, well, a hasty generalization. however, i do think its a good law because MOST teenagers are not NEARLY responsible enough. does that mean all of them are? no, it does not.

Most aren't, and you can't really make exceptions to the law otherwise you'll get countless people shouting "me too".

Besides, I'm under 18, and I wouldn't trust any of my friends with a gun, at all.
Alcohol culture and gun culture does not mix.

And it's not really a big problem at all, barely even a problem, it's just funny and stupid.
