I feel like nobody takes into account the side of the painted when it comes to a paintball review. What tastes the worst? What isn't half bad if you get shot in the grill? These are important questions that need answering. I've recently realized that smell can be an important factor too.
During my last outing I had the pleasure of being shot in the mask, gun, hopper and tank with a few Scented paintballs and I have to say that it definitely takes some of the sting out of being eliminated. My first time being shot during the day was a gog shot from someone in the woods while I was out in the airball area assaulting the woods. I got hit, stood up, and had a revelation. I yelled, "Did I just get shot with Blueberry paint?!? AWESOME!" I had been shot with Nelson Anarchy in apple scent before but it wasn't all that special. The apple has an ok scent but it just made me think, "meh, thats cool I guess." This had me in the staging area prompting all my teammates to smell my goggles because they smelled like blueberries(They didn't taste like it though)
So Blueberry(My favorite fruit) got me hyped. I was excited to play again as usual, but even more so because somebody out there had blueberyy scented paint and I want to get in a firefight with him. I was imagining the air around me filled with that sweet scent as my bunker or tree took hit after hit. I was excited in a whole new way for paintball. Later on in the day, I also got to experience the pleasure of Strawberry and also Banana. The banana was a bad idea in my opinion, but the strawberry was really cool. Nothing compared to the Blueberry though. So, as someone who get shot at a lot(People like to aim for the guy in a kilt and for the guy who runs a DT just because hes so cool), I appreciate a finely scented paintball fill. I truly think those of you who like to keep the other players in a sportsmanlike mood should start trying out scented fill paint. It made me feel better. Imagine what it could do for keeping new players in the sport.

As soon as they can make the Shnozzberries taste like shnozzberries I'll be excited for mouthguard shots too.

Thanks for reading my insane musing/review.

You are aware that the Fem Fatals (I believe) use(d) Chanel #5 scented paint? While going home after a day of paintball smelling like blueberries, bananas or oranges will have people ask where you stopped for pie, smelling like ladies perfume could be VERY bad.

While the grenade incident at EW sucked it wasn't as bad as it could have been. The orange scent was helped induce a sort of calm.

My preferred brand is Anarchy; I love green apples, and I love the idea of being courteous when removing my opponent from the field. Scented paint rocks, especially if you've been subjected to the cheap stuff that smells like decomposing fish.

Custom, any idea what paint had the different flavors? When I'm done with what I've got, I think I'll look into getting a case.

That would suck to smell like perfume.

I got hit for the first time with scented paint last weekend...Banana. It didn't taste as bad as the pink paint I got hit in the mouth with the week before that.

proball platinum ( sold at actionvilage.com ) is strawberry scented, and only $40 a case. you think it would cost more for the scented kind.

I hate Anarchy apple scented. The best scent has got to be the orange out of an F-Bomb. Haven't smelled strawberry though, it sounds good.
