I currently play Commander, Sniper, and sometimes medium rifleman. And some games, I play all threee of them at once. I think this is great because you can have alot of fun. Most of the time, I play Sniper/Commander because I can watch the fighting from a ways away, and so I can see alot of things my team doesnt. So I use radio communication to alert my team of things that they don't neccesarily see. And, at the same time I can ambush sorry suckers that have the bad luck to run past me. I'm currently Ghost Flanker/Commander/Broadsword, very effective but demanding position so that's why I invented the "Katana" Position just for fun, if people pick up on it, then that's great.
I'm mostly all about the fun. So I don't really care about top performance. Sniper can sometimes really be boring, since you don't see a soul around you some games. But adding the commander position to sniper really spices things up a bit. What do you guys think?

I am a sniper. And as soon as I can get a team together, I will also play as commander.

Yeah I was going to just say that. It is like a Sabre position but i think he means at once, not for filling in other positions.

Exactly, I just made up my own position just for fun, and called it the "Katana". Quick, powerful, and deadly.

(edit) Oh I'm working on a sig for this position too. Should be done by the end of the weekend.

So, in other words, you're a Broadsword with emphasis on mobility, and stealth, and a little commander thrown in the mix.

Sounds like fun :P

But you do realise that the Katana in martial arts is all about efficiency of movement. You're not exactly efficient to say the least, but for those who are not of Oriental decent, they can get past the name :P

sounds like sabre to me.
Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without u would still have good men doing good things and evil men doing evil things. But for good men to do evil things... That takes Religion

ahh... sounds like a sabre with too much to do
just cuz u find yourself most compatable with a special ops postion u dont need to always play it. Or play by its set of rules.

I think that's what having a team is for, I mean the position sounds cool and all but it's like being a one man army. Theres bound to be a guy on the team that can be a broadsword right. so a commander/sniper is a lot better because u won't be busy laying down suppressive fire while trying to pick off players and lead your squad

I'll tell ya what it sounds like...It sounds like a lot of people have their panties in a bunch because they don't like how it sounds and don't want to give it a try. ;\

I play Halberd and I think it's damn fun.

Just be sure to not turn into our old Unit Commander...He would snipe so much that he'd forget about game plans and just let everyone stretch out the field. ;( So be sure to contact your buddies ALOT! We revoked him of his commanding duties and sent him to be a full time sniper

People claim Sabres can do just about anything...Maybe they can...Maybe they can't. Point is, Sabres sometimes carry too much weight for the lighter positions like dagger and sniper, and sometimes not enough for broadsword.

In response to having a team for the purpose of not needing multiple sub-categories, I think it fits in, especially with smaller teams like ours. Our team is roughly 7-8 people and we don't actually have an opposing team, so we end up splitting our guys up into 3v3 and 4v4 firefights where we just don't have enough support. ;\ Multiple positions are crucial here.
