What type of headset would you suggest getting, also is there a model than one could get in bulk for the 7 other radios i have for my squad to use?

A Boom mic and headset is the one I've had the best luck with.

I'd avoid a throat mic, I've had too many problems with them.

What kinds are available depends a lot on what kind of radio you have.

throat mics can depend on the person using them too. My buddy and I have the same exact model, but he comes through like crap and I come through fine... it's because my neck holds it better. Him and I have even switched mics, and the same result.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Boom Mic - picks up better sound quality on many people while throat mics only work with a select few.

I have 2 single pin Motorolas, 4 2 pin Insignias, and 2 single pin Cobras.

Could anyone suggest a model/brand of boom mic?

Disregard what I posted earlier. I read up on some more stuff.

I enjoy the boom mics though. They look cooler and I'd be afraid a throat one would get shot. I've been shot in the neck multiple times. So might not work out so well for me

Finally got one of these and used it... fantastic! The PTT is big and easy to find, and when you press it you can feel it click to know you are transmitting. The sound quality of the speaker is amazing, and I was literally able to whisper into it and have myself heard perfectly by everyone.

By far best mic for the price I have ever used. And it stays on! No more falling off my ear.

Highly recommended, everyone on my team just placed an order.

I like the boom mic the best. I have used a throat mic and it just can't pick up the sound as good.

All I can say is stay away from headsets that use vox coms (you talk to talk). These are terrible for paintball because if you breathe heavy, it picks it up and transmits you breathing hard to your buddies who then can't cut through to talk to you. And you don't really want them to hear everything you say anyway. PTT is the way to go.
