I've been reffing for two years and still dont know...

No seriously, the key thing is on safety. Make sure everyone is being safe and having fun. Your field owner or head ref will or should give you a run down of the specifics of what they expect from you as a ref.

Good luck, and may the force be with you.

Not too sure how the field is that you'll be reffing at but you might wanna know how to fix the type of rental markers at your field. Also learning how to fix other types markers as well is nice to know how to do if you don't mind learning a thing or two about markers. Personally I love tinerking with markers so I try and learn to fix any type of marker I can get my hands on.

Expect to have people complain about things that don't go their way. Expect to be yelling "Barrel Sleeves On" and "Mask Down" quite often and others things that a Ref will tell people. Don't let your guard down when standing around observing players, I've had people shoot me when I'm clearly the only thing out on the field in a yellow and black jersey, red and blue mask, and totting a big red, white, and blue shield around that says "REF" on it.

Not gonna sugar coat it, reffing can really stink at times. Though like everything it has its downs and its ups for sure.

I think its more of a permit but its true. Few follow it though. I'll admit I'll fill tanks, witht he owners permission.

BTW I've aquired the key to the shop and free reign since hes seen us several times at the field just practicing and picking up things.

A license to fill tanks? I call shenanigans... or maybe it's a USA thing...

I have to do basically everything Andrew said, except laundry, and raking fields, and making minimum wage...

well you're supposed to have a permit to fill tanks

this field is very safety concious

really just a certificate saying you've been trained in filling tanks, but there's normally someone there to do it anyway

ya id say that too.... sence all u need to do is be taught by
1) the owner of the field who should know how to fill if not hes not a good one.
2) the head ref our a ref that has ben taught how to fill tanks
3) a air smith or air tech at the field.

and what tanks are you talking about??? co2?? HPA??? alll hpa is is opening whip lines, turing on whips, filling to 3000, shutting off 3000 tanks whips(dont disconnect!) boost to 4500, shut off booster, shut off air fill line, purge all air lines, tell players to disconnect.
co2- empty tank, place tank on scale, fill LESS then tank size in hot conditions, shut off fill, purge remaining line, give tank back.

We just have a fill station that players can use, and one up at the front thats for renters/begginers... it's not really that hard...

Connect tank
Fill tank by pushing down on lever
Release lever to bleed excess air
Disconnect tank

we have a 18 whip 4500 fill station at emr. soon to have like 25 i think. the co2 we have 6 fill staions in the back for the refs to fill. its much more safer when u have the whip staions sence u have someone that knows what there doing with there tanks... u know u get those idiots that think they can possibly get a litte more then the tank is sactaly maid for. also we dont want noobies filling a 3000 tank to 4500
