Since i only use my ion for sniping and such i dont want to to wait for someone jus so the auto timer on the board shuts the gun off and at the right time for an ambush my gun doesnt work. so that in mind i was wondering could i replace the electronics with a mechanical trigger? or is there a way to shut that auto timer off?

well, as for making it fully mech, there is a way, and there is one person who has done it. It involves replacing all the internals with pnuematics, which is a pretty involved.

Turning off your boards auto-shutoff, would either require you get someone to flash that onto your board (meaning you need to know the SP guys and get one of them to do that for you) or you could buy a new board. This new board like the APE would still have an automatic shutoff, but they also h

other than knowing an SP person and getting it flashed, both of the other processes require somewhere around 100 dollars

could you just leave it off and then turn it on when someone comes around? Thats what I would try and do because I'm cheap.

I can't remember, but does the stock ion board have an auto shutoff time limit?

Yes... he kinda stated that already.

Short of a new board or marker, you are going to pretty much just have to deal with it.

Not quite. Mags are spring returned. The Ion is air returned.

He never said that he had a stock ion board. He could have upgraded the board and I know that some of those have auto shut off timers.
