Egg Drop Results

While most of you gave similar ideas, somebody mentioned using a box with panty hose inside streched across, holding the egg in the middle. I did this one being that the materials were readily available and the idea was simple.
On the first drop was yesterday at approxamity 20 feet, it survived.
Than, today was the fireman drop. Firemen came to our school, loaded up their cherry picker and dropped them. It was about a 100 foot drop. It might have been more.
Mine survived that too.
I just want to say thanks to those who helped me with my project.
Alot of the designs where really lame though. Like 2 big sponges, with the middle carved out for an egg, than the 2 pieces duct taped together. SOO many people did that. Although they worked, it was pretty lame that people had such unoriginal ideas.
Some other people had cool designs, like when it hit the ground, the egg poped out the side and rolled to safety.
For next years egg drop, I think the physics teachers need to ban the use of foam, sponges, or any other similar material.

If there was so size limit, make something really big but light so the force of drag slows it down. Ours was only about 2 feet across (roughly round).
