Thanks for the replies guys. I'm working off the slowest dial-up connection in NY right now so I can't quote anyone but I'll list your name as I reply to your posts.
dextonik: It is incredibly heavy for a paintball marker. I weighed it in at 11 pounds without paint in the hopper. One of the main reasons I got the sling for it.
5N1P3R: 3'1" not counting the bipod folded. And the 16" barrel is the longest I've ever used, but seems to work very well. Not going to tuck this into a speedball bunker.
raptorbite: Nice to be missed.
Since I graduated college I haven't had much internet access, and this dial-up at home is so slow it's not worth using most of the time.
raptorbite & Gauss II: as for painting the box mag, I hadn't thought about it till now but I can see it. For now I'm going to go with the green but who knows what might happen in the future.
klaatu: it was certainly an investment as far as money (thought not as much as many of the new electros), but not so much in time. The Opsgear Mk-48 SAW kit did most of the work and I had the transformation from stock A5 to what you see done in an evening. I haven't had an oportunity to use it on the field yet but I took it out back just this afternoon for some trials. I don't own a chronograph so my results might not be very accurate compared to what I will get when I turn the velocity down a little, but I had some great accuracy and range from the 16" barrel and the response trigger is amazing for bringing out the SAW personality. Most of the upgrades are cosmetic, the only real performance upgrades are the barrel, R-trigger, and new power tube.
I'll try to get some video up next time I have a chance to go out and shoot.
