My newest project as it stands, a Tippmann A5 with Response trigger, 16" Opposing Force barrel, full Opsgear SAW package, low profile hopper, Red Hot Powertube, bipod, and a 3 point sling.

Additions to follow as I find time/money/items include dummy ammo belt from drum mag to marker, losing the bottom line and going with a remote adapter, SAW carry handle, and some custom lettering stamped in (to simulate text found on real weapon, model, serial #, caliber, etc.). Will add some more info as far as performance when I get more time playing with it. Let me know what you think.

Attached Image: saw2.jpgThis thing is huge! 3'1" from butt to muzzle, 11 lbs. empty!

Attached Image: saw3.jpgOpsgear did a good job with a full body shroud that fits even with the Cyclone and Response trigger air lines.

Attached Image: saw1.jpgAnd as a size comparison, here is the A5 above my Ion.

looks awsome but heavy.
If you can't hack it, then I suggest you pack it!

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm working off the slowest dial-up connection in NY right now so I can't quote anyone but I'll list your name as I reply to your posts.

dextonik: It is incredibly heavy for a paintball marker. I weighed it in at 11 pounds without paint in the hopper. One of the main reasons I got the sling for it. :)

5N1P3R: 3'1" not counting the bipod folded. And the 16" barrel is the longest I've ever used, but seems to work very well. Not going to tuck this into a speedball bunker.

raptorbite: Nice to be missed. :) Since I graduated college I haven't had much internet access, and this dial-up at home is so slow it's not worth using most of the time.

raptorbite & Gauss II: as for painting the box mag, I hadn't thought about it till now but I can see it. For now I'm going to go with the green but who knows what might happen in the future.

klaatu: it was certainly an investment as far as money (thought not as much as many of the new electros), but not so much in time. The Opsgear Mk-48 SAW kit did most of the work and I had the transformation from stock A5 to what you see done in an evening. I haven't had an oportunity to use it on the field yet but I took it out back just this afternoon for some trials. I don't own a chronograph so my results might not be very accurate compared to what I will get when I turn the velocity down a little, but I had some great accuracy and range from the 16" barrel and the response trigger is amazing for bringing out the SAW personality. Most of the upgrades are cosmetic, the only real performance upgrades are the barrel, R-trigger, and new power tube.

I'll try to get some video up next time I have a chance to go out and shoot.

You need to add the Allen Paintball Keg Hopper. Holds 450 rounds :3

I hope you do a lot of weightlifting. What kind of tank do you use to power that monster?

Never heard of it till you posted, and all I can say is :o ! Wow, I wouldn't be able to lift the thing, it'd have to go on a turret! :) I must have it. We'll see how things go when I finally get to play with the marker, I need to figure out a bigger air supply first!

I do, but with the 3 point sling it isn't to bad. Right now I have a Crossfire 88ci 4500psi carbon wrapped tank, but it's not going to cut it. I'm working on a couple ideas for adding another one and running them in parallel.

Vor entye ner vod. Nice to see another Mando on the forum. I've been giving thought to converting the box mag even before I bought it, and there's a few things holding me back. One, I hate batteries and I'd need an electronic hopper to keep up with the R-trigger. Two, I'm not sure how to counter chopping issues with a direct feed vs. the indexed Cyclone. Third, trying to find a way to fill it using pods is still bugging me. But it's still something I'm considering.

I've tried everything I can think of including fully re-typing that last part but I can't get rid of the huge font! No idea what's going on.

It's a work in progress, right now trying to increase my air capacity is the priority because I'll be lucky to get 5 pods out of just a single 88/45 with both the Cyclone and Response trigger.
