I want to get a new barrel for my mr2 and I am haveing troubel picking what one to get I have the stock one right now, I am between a Rap4 16 inch recon and a rap4 sniper 22 inch but i think sniping is over rated you need to be up in the battel for the thrill so what do you guys think.

A 22 inch barrel is extremely inconvenient. So I'd go for the 16 inch if it is between those two. But I'd suggest a J&J barrel if you don't have your heart set on RAP4.

A cheaper option would be a 16" CMI Tru-Flight. The tip is ported and milled to look military (if thats something you're into). I have one on my MR1 and I love it.

A nice, accurate, cheap, but still great barrel what ghost93 suggested, a J&J barrel is really great, I used to own one on onw of my previous guns, not on my MR1 though, but they are still awesome all around barrels. And I would say between 14" and 16" would be a legit range of sizes.

14" J&J is what you want

J&J makes a sloppy barrel. The sizes between barrels that are supposed to be the same inner bore vary consistantly, which doesn't do you any good. Sure they're cheap and a decent barrel at that, but who knows what size you'll get. If size isn't a deciding factor for you then get a Custom Products one piece barrel. They're $30, in any color you want, and will be consistantly well-made. You can even choose from a number of sizes (go with .689). For the same price, the CP barrel is a much better purchase.

I've never shot a CP barrel, but I'm dying to get my hands on one.

All I can say about J&J is that I have the stock one for Automags, and I love it to death. I've had my Tac-One for two and a half years now and have seen no reason to replace the barrel, although a Matchstick kit is in my future.

CP classic doesn't fit on a MR2.

i found a really good deal, $40 bucks for a 16in w/ apex, the barrels long so it fits the shroud. also if mil-slim aint your thing the shroud comes off pretty easy. also if your havin problems with barrels fitting u can take the front shroud off, its perfectly fine and doesnt affect the gun at all.

My buddy got a 14" APEX barrel a few weeks ago and loves it.
Not sure how much he bought it for though.

I gotta throw in a Stiffi- if you wanna pay a little more. I love mine, looks cool, works great I've got the .691 bore( a lil big for most paint, but I found some that works). I've also heard that j&j's quality has gone down over the last few years- maybe you could find an older used barrel on eBay or somthin? I def wouldn't go over 16" unless you've got some kind of milsim shroud and just want it for looks.
