I have been shot in the lens several times, and desperately need to change them.

I was thinking about the amber lenses, since they are better for dark woods, seperating the greens better, making camo easier to spot.

I just want a little input on them, see if anyone else has used them, and if they live up to what people say they do.

I'm open to other suggestions also.

Thanks!

I used to use clear, since they came with my mask. I use yellow now, it makes everything seem much later in the day then it actually is. Apart from colors being slightly different (blue is now green, for obvious reasons) it makes contrasts much smaller, so shadows aren't as dark. It helps a lot when playing in dark areas with splotches of light.

I wear an amber lense on my Profiler... love it. I wasn't sure about it the first day I tried it, but I've grown to love it, it just took some getting used to.

It does change the colors you see obviously, so that takes a mental adjustment on your part: "Is that a blue armband? Yep, better start shooting!" One time I got gogged & was a little miffed someone was using non-field paint because the fill was bright red, my friend next to me said "no, it's orange, relax" :P.

Go ahead & buy one to try it, if you don't like it send it to me since I'll be needing a new one at some point this summer (jk, not really :ghillie:).

i prefer Photochromatic Lens from Vforce. It changes shades depending on the light you are in. If you are in the shade or darkness, it lightens up and goes clear so you can easily see. If you are in the light, it darkens over so you have like sunglasses on. Changes in under a minute. Is great. I don't know why every company doesn't do them. They are the best lens on the market hands down. I love em. They make a photochromatic smoke, that changes from clear to dark black/grey. And a photochromatic blue, which changes from clear to shiny blue.

The photochromatic comes in brown as well, atleast it did last I checked. I've been eyeballing them, just trying to find one on the cheap if I can prior to needing a new lense.

I have a V-Force Grill and love it. However, I've only used the clear and the smoke lenses. I've pretty much used the clear the entire time, and have nothing but good to say about it. I'm sure that the amber and yellow shades are great for enhancing your ability to pick up movement and pick out shapes better, HOWEVER... It's just my personal preference to use a clear lens. I like being able to see every shape, color, and object for how it really is. Would you be happy with an amber or yellow lens? I'm sure you would. It really all comes down to you and what you want. I'm just giving you my input so that you can make an educated decision on what lens you think will best fit your playing style.

http://www.actionvil...om/021-143-0072 This is the photochrome lense for the Morph, Shield and Profiler.

I'd go with the grey photochromatic lense. There would less color distortion than brown. They're expensive, but well worth it.

Mine didn't work at all for some reason.

I have a feeling it was just a clear lens in a photochromatic package.

I bought a brown photochromatic lense last year, and I love it. It's clear when I need it to be, and then when it gets brighter out the brown comes about. I actually NEVER notice the switch to be honest. I've grown so used to it that the color of the lense isn't ever, ever on my mind. I just know that when the sun isn't too bright, the lense is doing its job. The photochromatic lense was money well spent.
