really, really neat idea. its is gonna have some major problems at first, but once PE gets it all worked out it will be awesome. also i can see it being quite large when it first appears on the market (at least to other high-ends on the market) but im sure it will get down to size. that is really cool

So it trades a battery only system for one with a shaft, magnet, coil and a pneumatic impeller to charge up the battery that runs the electromagnetic reciprocation of the bolt.

In other words, it trades a $4 battery for $100 worth of extra parts.

Brilliant!

Bill, You made a mistake coming here to the internet paintball community. These people will not be put off, will not accept partial answers and will hold you accountable for everything you say. They are not your typical customer. Even through all the bickering and flaming, the collective consciousness of this community sits at nothing less than the genius level. They are the highest and best of what paintball has to offer. I have trusted and turned to them for years and they have allowed me to walk among them for which I am grateful.

I think I am going to agree with the 2010 comment. If they just got the patent process through, that just means that it is on paper. They would still have to start building prototypes, work out the MANY kinks, and then make it compact enough to be competitive.

Their current design will probably hold up for another year or so before they need to either shave off something, or create a new type of mod to the current bolt to allow for more brittle paint.

also not sure if I mentioned this but expect a hefty price tag. I am saying for the base model 2000+ why because PE always seems to Jack up prices and well they will have the only marker to operate in this fashion and all the R&D dollars it will take

Sounds like a good Idea but odds are there will be a lot of bugs in the first models and like said I doubt it will be the 08 ego.
