I've been looking at pump guns, first thinking that someone would have to be crazy to use one, then gaining respect for pump users, before I've decided that I want to get into playing with a pump gun.

I've decided to come here and ask about what pump guns are good recomendations for begginers at pump.

However, I dont want to spend more than 250 US dollars on it, and have no intrest in stock class pumps. (I'm not that crazy)
I have a 68/3000 pure energy HPA tank so a new tank is not problem for me, unless anyone else says otherwise.

A $250 budget will get you a nice Sniper, which is a Autococker with a Pump kit in place of the pneus. Its a great beginner Pump because it feels just like a semi marker. I recommend buying used, or building your own.

Congratulations on your choice and good luck!

I started pumping with an old SL-68II. Cheap, reliable, and fun :D

The aci maverick is a decent, cheap open class pump.
(quote-Iron Eagle) This is why my preferred way of death is strapping a bomb to myself, walking into PETA HQ and detonating it.
(Quote-weltmaker2000) I don't call my guns pumps. I refer to them as euthanizers of the stupid.

the autococker with pump add on or the aci maverick are both looking very appealing to me right now, but I am also considering the Azodin Kaos pump gun. Is there any word out on if its worth spending the money for or should I just go with the autococker "Sniper"?

I'd go for a sniper. check out these forums B/S/T and mcarterbrown to find a good deal. Pbnation was wayyy overprice with their snipers last time I looked.

I would go with a Sniper, or an Autococker pump of some kind. Find a pump that feels like a semi marker. My Phantom felt nothing like any of the other semi-auto markers I've shot. I didn't fancy that much. But it was still nice :). Best of luck!
