What about markers that have stocks and on board air tanks?

I have to admit...I loved the ending of that video...
"I could be your third wheel."
"You know that's not a good thing right?"
"Of course it is, it adds more grip, greater stability"

"Gives it color he says, it'll look good he says...Filthy liar" (in regards to Puzuma)

I really go both ways on this. Sometimes I like a stock, and sometimes I don't. It kind of depends on the individual gun balances for me.

My all time favorite setup was my AKA Viking with a Lapco drop forward (may she rest in peace :( , at least until an AKA tech returns to the world). But at the same time I've had others where I liked it having a stock/remote.

That would be just plain ridiculous.

someone had to do it. im not a fan of stocks. Just because then you have to put the tank somewhere awkwardly, or use a remote line, which can also be awkward. The only one i would like is the Tiberius in tank in stock with some first strike loaded mags. that would be fun.

EDIT: its also hard to tilt the marker behind bunkers with a stock.

Ok, because I was kind of surprised when you didn't say anything about it? I guess you also missed folding stocks but no biggy.

I do agree that the stock and mask combo is a bit odd feeling, but I personally do not sight my marker. I shoulder-shoot, as oppose to shoulder-site-shoot.

Drop forwards are NOT old school. Neither is your pump, love it :)

And I gota saw, I FRIGEN LOVE YOUR A5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tank in stock. I thought you would have know of these.

LMFAO, sore, I'll watch a vid bout tactical buttsex. Actually, I would love to see a tacticool buttsex vid, then you could let your immigration run wild :)

BTW, liking your facial hair

Awwww... didn't adress folding stocks or MP5 style sliders.

For all the emphasis on looks I was expecting that to fall right in the middle. Really I think it depends on the user and their motives. If you get a stock mostly for the looks, that's way on the tacticool side. If you get it just for the function without consideration for aesthetics, that's way on the tactical side. If like most people your reasons are more in the middle of those extremes, then it's inbetween tacti- cal and cool.

Although I would offset any assessment of solid and M4 style stocks a notch or two towards the tacticool side though. The folders and fully collapseable sliders offer all the same stability of any other stock PLUS offer enhanced manuverability over the other types. Even if you don't usually or ever expect to play close quarters, it's still always going to be BETTER to have the stock that offers the potential for performance under those conditions, because you never know. Exactly why all the next gen and a lot of the current weapon systems incorporate some kind of the folding or fully collapseable stock, for example the SCAR weapons and EBR versions of the M14 platform. All that considered there's just no reason to use only partially collapsible M4 style stocks or solid stocks that offer the same stability but fall horribly short in terms of manuverability... unless of course you think they look cool. Therefore... tacticoolish :P

On the contrary sir, remote lines are just plain ridiculous. All markers and other gun-like entities should always be completely self contained. Anything the gun needs to work should be on the gun. A5 with folding stock and vert air = EPIC win. Nothing awkward about it, in fact mounting the air into the tombstone PERFECTLY balances the marker, such that you can stand it on the air tank and not worry about it falling over... great for gratuitus marker gallery pics. Now I've got mags so no more vert air soooo... Bullpup air + folding stock = EPIC WIN. Probably will have the same balance as rear air with stock extended, which is fine; then with stock folded, right back to that PERFECT balance... all in theory of course. That said I'm sure you're partially right and that there are a lot of goofy awkward air on gun/w/stock setups floating around out there, what I find is that manufactures don't tailor make mods for my setup so: Sometimes if you want the RIGHT setup, you just need to engineer the f*ck up and MAKE it YOURSELF.

And by the way, Beniaha: Not if you have a folding stock.

Not a fan of stocks on markers generally. I prefer to just use the tank. Only stocks i do use are 12 gram lever changer stocks that come off back bottle ASA's, like the Micro CA or Turret Stock. They got down at an angle so i can still sight with them. But in general, you will not find me rocking a stock

Send it in to Jared at Destructive Customs...http://www.destructivecustoms.com/ they are pretty much one of the last AKA tech shops out there and the absolute best on the east coast. AKA still recomends people sending markers to him to put together whenever they buy parts to build an AKA marker. Jared is top notch and does amazing work. But he is a one man shop, so things can take time

As Tyger has put it a stock can be tactical or tacticool

If it enhances then it's functional / tactical
If just for look it's tacticool
Often it can be both

Air on the marker can be used as a stock

I'd say adding every type of stock to that video is not essential, Tyger covered the functions of a fixed size and an adjustable stock

For other types of game a stock can be removed, eg for CQB. However a folding stock gives in game choice

I have a number of configurations, fixed stock on my tacamo ak. But my x7 changes configuration all the time, sometimes folding stock with remote line, sometimes no stock which can be air on or by remote. Sometimes full barrels sometime 3 inch barrel

You can sight down the barrel of most guns without a drop forward, but I don't do it anyway. I just bring it up to my shoulder and shoot instinctively, it works well enough for me. And dogleg stocks or stocks like the l-stock on the phantom do allow you to aim down the barrel.

Tactical Butt..Wait What...??? LOL

I need a stock for my VSC Phantom, it's too light and unstable for me otherwise. For other markers, I just use the tank as that seems simpler.
