I used the flatline for about 2 years stragiht, almost never left my a5. Then i found the apex, now my flatline sits unused and unwanted in the corner collecting dust. I loved the flatty while i used it and still think its an amazing barrel, but the apex has it beat. Apex isnt paint picky. Apex's spin can be turned off. ANd you can spin the head of the apex, so you can tell it how you want it to spin. You can still hold your marker at an angle, as long as the head is still pointed up when you fire, your shots will still be straight. I love mine.

i have a flatline and i love it. but some people say its hard to use it does take some getting used to after using the stock a-5 barrel for a while but the flatline works just as good and is about 30$ less than the apex.but i would reccomend finding some 1 that has one and c if they will let u take a cupple of shots.

Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without u would still have good men doing good things and evil men doing evil things. But for good men to do evil things... That takes Religion

While I've never personally used an APEX, I've seen videos of it being shot on different settings, and I own a flatline. I would say that the APEX looks about the same when it comes to distance, but wins by a lot in consistency WHEN you turn the spin off. Otherwise that's similar to the flatline. It's not worth buying the APEX for me, since I already own a flatline, but I would have bought it if it existed before I got my flatline.

id have to say flatline even though i am impressed with the apex which doesnt happen too often i believe the apex is giving the shooter a an easier opportunity and absolutly no skill to use when using the apex. So im my opinon i would go with the flatline

I would go with the apex if I were you, not used either, always wanted a flatty for my m98. From what people have been saying all over the forums the flatty is great once you get it "dialed in". But to do that is a major pain, whereas the apex is something you just put on like a normal barrel, a trained mokey can install it.

I'm guessing when you say the apex is too complex you mean the way you can adjust the amount of curve and direction of curve, again from what I've read it's very simple. Just move the switch and turn the end, most likely you will be using normal or "flatline" modes and not change the direction of the spin.

I would get the apex for my m98 if I had the money, for the extra 30 bucks you have the option of more distance, and the occational curve to freak someone out who isn't hugging a bunker good enough.

I've asked this kind of somewhere else, but whatever

With the A2 kit, could I use the standard, Flatline or Apex barrels? Or do only some work, or whatever

Thanks (below)>>>>>>>>

Yes, all those barrels will work fine with the A5-A2 kit.
