I picked up a used Mini and I replaced the solenoid. I aired it up, it started leaking, and it made a loud bang, the poppet seating/sealing I'm assuming, and then kept leaking. I hooked a remote up to it to gently increase the amount of air going into the marker. It leaked out the barrel at first, and then out of the gas transfer tube area, and now it leaks directly out of where the reg meets the gas transfer tube. My other problem is that the pressure on the reg jumps to over 400psi even before the remote is all the way screwed in and the gold screw (adjusts pressure) is flush with the front of the reg. It should be around zero until I screw it in more, it rockets to over 400psi still. The o-ring on the bottom of the tube is fine, and the regulator is flush with the bottom of the grip frame. Any ideas?

EDIT: After school I'll try a fresh battery, and reconfirm that everything is lubed properly and screwed in properly and whatnot. Should I maybe take the regulator apart and make sure things are alright in there? I'd need direction though.

If you have the manual, that should help you in assembling and disassembling it. I've heard that first if it doesn't work, change the battery. So that may be the problem.

I think I have to mess with the reg. Reset the front reg cap I guess? Might work might not.

Velocity is almost as low as it goes. I don't think the poppet it sealing correctly, as it leaks out the barrel now. I have a really extensive thread on PBnation on this problem. Here is the link if anyone cares.

Quote

Caps out, it's completely aired up, no leak. Partially screw in the front cap and it gently leaks out the barrel. I can then screw in the gold screw in get my psi to 160-190. When I shoot it looses pressure and has to build back up to whatever it's set at. It has a TON of kick when I take the shots though. I've messed with the poppet already too. Do I need a new poppet? What the heck is going on?!? I'm not doing things wrong, and it seems as if the problem keeps shifting and changing everytime I air it up. I'm not ignorant or incapable of following directions.

No, he clearly said it was a mini leak... :) :D (That's smaller than small)

I've never had a problem with my Mini, so I can only offer the advice given above- manual or airsmith.

My Mini has mini leakage but it's so frustrating at this point that I can't even conjure up a smiley.
