Whats better in pure bps the ion...well actually id prob choose an ion because with all those ups the a5 would weigh more than god...but if ions are uppd well there really nice markers they still wont get respect and you can get someting better for the money but an ions prob better.

Peace,
UWANNAGO

The ion will still be better, it will always have less kick and will always be more efficient and has eyes.

Tippmann will be more efficient. Tippmann will come with a fast loader, which is cheap. Tippmann will be able to shoot over 20bps, but Ion will be faster, although at that point it is not a big deal. They'll be about equally consistent. A standard Ion and a tippmann will be equally maintenance heavy, but a BOB Ion will be much easier than a tippmann.

Depends on your play style as to which is better.

Go with an XValve automag. If your HPA tank can output 1000 psi the response trigger will let you rip very fast

Well you would have been a retard either way. Dropping $500+ on either of these markers is silly when you could have yourself a used HE, an E-cocker of some variety, an E-mag, Fusion, promaster, viking, PMR, or anything really that is a big step up.

Having said that I'd take the ultra Ion over the ultra A-5, but I'd take almost any other gun with a base cost equal to the upped Ion/A5 any day.
"A bad day of paintball is one where I never get hit. If I don't look like I got date-raped by an octopus by the end of the day, thats a bad thing."

So you want to know why it's called an A5?

If I could assemble a new regulator for a paintball gun, I could build a liver. How hard could it be?

Automaggot #79

I'll bet you $10 the above post is telling you to buy an automag.

Well...

The ion will have a higher BPS, but still be an ion ()

The tippmann'll prolly max out around 18-20bps, which is still extremely fine, and be extremely durable

... I fixed it up a little bit, you forgot something when posting.

I would still go with the Ion, it's overall just a better way to spend your money. Though, personally, I wouldn't go for either of the guns - but that's just my opinion.

thats a tough choice see the problem with the a5 is its gonna be heavy, but its a tippmann and it wont POOPY SHIZZLE out on you like a ion, the ion is lighter and faster but it will have more mechinal problems like eyes going out leaking hoses and other such things.

if your going for an Ion ans seriously modding it. I suggest you buy the pieces instead of buying the gun and replacing every part of it. Alot of people have noticed that they bought the gun but then replaced every single piece so you might as well buy the parts you want and build the Ion. If your buying an Ion.

a-5. Bad DUMPER gun, but heavier. But extremely durable. Its a dream to own both, but probably not possible. Try em both out and see which one you like better.

i would go with the ion, but thats coming from a speedballers perspective. i dont really like ions, but i would still choose it over an A5 any day.

if you gonna drop 500$ on a ion or a5 ,just don't and go get a e/x mag or tac one ,or rt pro , ecocker ,pmr pmc ,and dm6
