well yesterday, many guys from here on the forums got together to play some paintball. i normally wear my pod pack but south wanted to use my pack, so i used his vest. well the pods were very hard to put back in without dropping them. so i would end up leaving them on the ground until we were done with the game. well some said not to because kids would take them. well what about you guys? do you leave them on the ground once you empty them, or do you put them back into the holster right after?

On a speedball field or small tight field with quick games I may drop them. 2-2. 3-3. I never leave them behind on longer games or a field I don't know.

If im playing speedball and everyone knows where I am ill toss it to the sidelines. IF i'm playing in the desert or i'm not under fire ill take the time to slip it back into my pack.

I rarely leave mine laying around. May sit it against my cover in a firefight, but my pods are camo'd, so if I tossed them behind me it would just mean a longer search later, thus killing the time advantage I gained by not slipping it back in my vest.

On small fields with people I know well I drop them. Larger ones they go back in the harness. And yes a few people believe that pods left on the field are fair game even if the owner is only a few yards away.

I don't leave them behind unless its a small game with friends but if thats the case I usually don't carry any extra paint anyway. People will take them I will usually pick them up along with trash etc... on my way to the dead zone/staging area and deposit them in a easy to see spot in the staging area.

Wow, I feel likw such a jerk, I used to get mad at people when they would pick up pods. I even used to pick them up and give 'em to the guy who dropped them :D .

At SC Village in Fontana, CA, I was watching a speedball game. I saw 2 kids "tranferring ownership" on pods. They would ready themselves like Olympic track runners in the blocks. As soon as the game was called, they would sprint in and scoop up at least one and sometimes 2 pods. No one stopped them!

I try not to drop them. But, it depends on the value of the pod, too. I used to buy the Dye lock lids, lost a couple in one day and started buying the $2 ones.

If I'm at a public field, especially at a large scenario, I almost always put them back in my vest. I will drop them sometimes if I don't have any time to put them back in if the game is really getting intense. If I'm playing outlaw with my friends, I still usually put them back in so I don't have to go searching for them after the game. However, I still drop them sometimes if I don't have time because people are getting really close or I don't have adequate cover.

In small games of like 3 people I do. Even then though it' still a big field so I have to get them after, so have started to just put them back.

For small walk on games, or a local tournament I will just drop them. I pick them up after the game.

When at a scenario game I will put them back in my vest. I lost four pods by just leaving them behind at one event.
