Here is a game to play. Improve your tatics. Obey the rules. There will be more if this is popular.

Scenario #1

Here is the set up.
A reconnaissance drone made a fly over 18 hours ago and took the following photograph. The recon photograph shows a small village with over a dozen small buildings. At the time of the fly over none of the terrorists were outside, it is not known where the two hostages are being held, or how many opposing forces will be encountered. An on the ground informant says it should be assumed that there are eight to twelve terrorists all are heavily armed. The village is flanked on the east and north sides by woods. If the terrorists escape with the hostages through these woods you will loose them. The south side of the village is pastures with a wall separating the village from the pastures. Your insertion point will be from the southeast. The west side of the village is a road and open ground.

The Mission
Secure the hostages and remove them safely to the exist zone to the west. The terrorists will not kill the hostages while they are in their possession; if freed and in your possession they will try to stop the extraction; they will kill the hostages if in your possession. You must protect the freed hostages at all costs and remove them to safety. Killing all the terrorists is an alternate win.

Your forces.
There will be two squads of six men each. The soldiers are armed with what ever you want as long as it is paintball weapons that exist. Markers, laws, grenades, smoke, etc, but not every soldier can have everything (except his own marker of course). There will be no air support except at the exit zone (west side).

How would you execute this mission?
In your own post below tell us how you would perform this mission?

Assuming this is daytime, and paintball-only equipment:
Have the terrorists given a deadline?(i.e. time before the execute hostages?)
1 hour prior to deadline I would send in 2 men. 1 Sniper with a longbow, and a spotter with a Qbow. They would observe, get the enemies positions/number using their telescopic sights. During the rescue, they would hold their position to prevent escape. Their position would be in the trees to the north(top) and the top right corner for best visibility.

The assault would go like this:
Assuming I have 10 men only(2 snipers used for recon) I would take my teams of 5, and leave 2 men from each team in blocking positions to the west and south. With the six men I had left, they would break into 3 teams of two, and go room to room in suspected buildings. Should the terrorists escape, there are blocking positions to the north, south, and west. The terrorists would not escape into the open ground to the east.

ok well i would first take out 2 guys from each squad and set up one guy at each corner with action ghillies and longbows as over watch and if the terrorist get out before the assault squads can get in. Then the assault teams would flank around to the east and west the guys would be armed with A-5s modified for what ever they need like full auto for the riflemen, double trouble for the heavy gunner etc. and they would assault from both sides into the villige clearing house by house. each of the men in the assault teams would have paintgrenades to aid in clearing the houses. once the hosteges were secure the entire team would rendevous on the west perimiter of the villege. The assault squads would escort the hosteges to the extraction zone leaving the "snipers" behind to ambush any terrorist who are left trying to get to the assault squad. after 10 minutes if no contact the ambush team would extract cover the assault teams 6 o'clock
when in doubt empty the hopper.

For Alpha squad I would have them made up of 4 longbow snipers and 2 heavy gunners. The heavy gunners will have as much paint and as much grenades as they can carry. They will split up evenly covering the north forest and the east forest, two snipers and one heavy gunner on each side of the forest. All of them in action guillie (heavy gunners do what they can).

Beta squad will consist of myself, 3 daggers, and 3 sabers. My squad will move along the forest then spread up along the southwest side of the village with my sabers up front and the daggers on our flanks, 1 on the left flank and 2 on the right flank. On my command once we are in position the snipers will take they're shots, then the heavy gunners will open up. My squad and I will move up, with the daggers taking the flanks clearing out building, the sabers covering them, Heavy Gunners will fire on any terrorist who are out in the open and make them not want to go into the forest. Snipers will take out any opposition who pokes their heads out.

All of Beta squad will have colord take on their right bicep so the heavy gunners and snipers know not to shoot us. We will squeeze the opposition until they are all dead, with no room to escape. Once we find the hostages we will hold them up inside the building they were found. Once the all clear is given I will radio to my forces to move out to the extraction zone. With the heavy gunners covering our rear, the snipers covering our flanks, the sabers taking point, and the daggers use themselves as human shields for the hostages.

I would have each squad with a load out of night vision equipment (PVS 14's would be awesome) and quiet barrels/markers (electro). 1 member of each squad will be outfitted with a DT and have an assistant gunner who carries extra ammo and air. 2 members of each squad will be outfitted with smoke grenades. I would conduct the operation at night, going through building by building with one squad acting as overwatch while the other squad enters and clears each building. As hostages are secured (if in separate buildings) they are evacuated by buddy teams to the extraction point. If contact is made and the "terrorists" get active, we'll react as appropriate being careful of course not to accidentally eliminate hostages. I'd put more thought into it at this point, so we'll just call this the "tentative plan" as part of the TLPs.

both teams enter through the woods leaving four snipers behind to guard the woods. all armed with their markers each with matadyne industries under barrel grenade launchers and plenty of ammo. draw the enemy out by arcing launcher shots then having the other team snipe them out. if the hostages are brought out push him back till he is almost out of the village then have the snipers take out the terrorist and the hostage secured. if the hostages are kept in the building clear each building using smoke until the hostages are located. secure them then gthod!

One squad would take up blocking positions on the East side and Northwest corner of the village. The next task will be to determine what building(s) the hostages are in. Assuming the terrorists know what they're doing, they've probably placed the hostages in separate buildings close to the wooded North and East sides. The second squad would cut into the village from the Southeast, taking down the target building(s).

Once the hostages are secure, the blocking squad will move to the Western side, where the second squad will meet them for extraction.
