Hey all,
I was looking for some kind of a list where I could compare the resale percentage prices of markers. I know that Angel is a high-end marker, but heard the resale percentage is quite low.. I don't know why..(if someone wants to list reasons why resale values are so high/low, that would be nice). So if anyone can, please make a list of marker brands and if they were to be sold again, taking that they are in favorable condition, stock, but used, what percentage of the original price would they be able to be sold at (brand is all that matters for this forum, models don't)? All new brands and resale percentages will be moved to the top. Thank you for your time, effort, and help!

Example:

XBRAND
Resale: approximately 85% of purchasing price

For most guns, you're best off by checking out similar models and basing it off of them. It varies so much due to age, condition, aftermarket accessories, current popularity and so on.

Anything custom = keep value, gain value if one of a kind or limited number and kept long enough :P.

Nothing keeps it's value unless it's extemely rare or sought-after. Everything, including mags and high-ends lose some of their value after you open the box.

hate to burst your bubble but when going from new to used ALL markers lose value, even high ends and mags. He's asking how much value they lose not whether or not they lose value.

I'd say check ebay vs. actionvillage or brand new guns online.

Many markers loss their value when a newer version comes out. Angel A1 has kept good value but the G7 dropped.

Ions have somewhat of a resale because they never changed since 2k5. But the PM series has changed in the last 2 years so the PM5 has dropped alot in value.

What's hot at Christmas might not be popular in June because of team sponsorship and 6 more months of advertising.

There's no calculation out there or chart you can follow.

Your best bet to figure out resale would be to surf BST sections of forums. PBN bst is usually the best place to figure out a markers resale value especially with electronic markers.

Matrix markers have no resale while Egos have decent resale
Ions have none for the same reason as tippmanns the market is flooded with them.
Nerves have no resale at all.
Sorry I cant get more detailed

on the other hand, you will see a HIGH resale value of pretty the following; custom one offs, (especialy pumps), old Carters, OLD KPs,-they are the most desirable apparently, and many older, vintage markers in great conditions, but it seems to follow this pattern,.

'Cockers have NO resale at all, save Karnivors. Well, my gain-you can get a pretty rocksome marker for a song and a dance now.

A good starting point to find resale value is around 65% of the new price. Add to the list of markers that retain good resale value anything from Palmers. The custom work usually holds better value unless it is engraved with a name or specifically personalized in some way. Blazers hold their value well, but not as great as the custom handmade stuff, but much better than 90% of guns out there. High end electros lose value a lot. So many "flavor of the month" going on. People buy them new then dump them a year later when the "next best thing" comes out.

Basically, any kind of gun that tends to flood the market is going to have poor resale. More uncommon things can have better resale, provided there is a consumer base that buys them. Simple economics really, supply and demand. If you are going to sell, set your price a little higher than what you expect to get but with the understanding that you WILL have to compromise and bring it down.
