I have a tippman model 98 with a flatline barrel and i want to get the qloader for it. I wasnt sure if i should get the qloader kit for the 98 custom. I'm pretty sure that they are the same gun with some minor differences... I just want to check to make sure it will fit before i buy it.

They are the same marker, but the m98 is not as easy to upgrade. The 98c comes with all of the mounting spaces for the response trigger and other Tippy ups. But this will not effect the mounting of a q-loader.

imho, a q-loader is a waste of time on the tippy. But my experience with the QL is all with 1st gen ones, so if they've changed at all, you might want to disregard that. Mine was a real pain in the butt to clean, load, install, etc.

Now I use a Ricochet G2K on my 98c and on my Phantom. When the ball doesn't drop, I tip it forward (stock-class style) and they drop right in. And the 98's don't shoot fast enough to need a Q anyway. Also, you can purchase a cyclone for it now. But if you're doing this for profile reasons, I totally understand.

Hey hollis welcome to the fourm. I would expect that it would fit. Special ops tests many things and i bet they tested that. Im not exactly sure.

If there was a fire in your house and the first thing you would grab was your paintball gear, put this in your sig.

A lot of things that will fit on the 98 custom, will fit on the model 98. although im pretty sure the double trigger for the 98 custom wont fit the model 98.
