So I play mainly outlaw paintball with my friends seeing as the fields that are near me are fairly expensive these days. I keep runnin into the problem however that time inbetween paintball games takes to long, either people are talkin, or it takes em to long to get read, or theyre just sittin around talkin about what we should do. Do any of you know anything I could do to keep the space inbetween games as low as possible?

have a designated safe zone with netting or a larger enough area out of range from the field of play for people to reload at when they get out.
otherwise you just have to tell them to hurry up

bring a timer, or get everyone to reload and air up, hydrate, etc. immediately after they get off the field. maybe set game lengths and downtime lengths on a schedule.

Well....our biggest obstacle has been having to walk all the way back to the safe zone to load up for another game. Now we carry pods of extra paint, and an extra co2 or so if we know we're getting low.

As far as the talking...meh..that's half the fun: rehashing the previous game. Enjoy it.

I dont really mean rehashing, i mean just talkin bout stuff and not getting ready, if they were multitasking, thatd be sweet, but they arnt, which isnt so sweet.

Bah...you're supposed to be having fun, right? If you want guys who come to play, you may need to find new guys. Otherwise, talking is a part of friendship, hanging out, etc. Just learn to enjoy it, and remind them to get busy. You want more continuous pb? Try a field, or as I said, new guys.

Eh, I'll be honest. I'm a dick about it. I'm not old or an egomaniac, i dont see a point in telling war stories.

I'll stand on the field and talk/yell in an amish accent most of the time. Its normall stuff like, I came to play me somes paint bulletz warz.

Those of us that are used to turning around games shoot each others barrel tips when theyre not covered to entertain ourselves.

Eh, I dont mean this how it sounds but...

It gets old. Like, even playing pump against tourney teams... "Hey, I ahd you posted and I wasnt even playing a bunker and I had a pump..." even gets old after awhile... Whatever floats your boat, but thats just me.

I agree with raptor more. Once again, I dont mean this how it sounds but, I'm playing D2x next year and if I'm not beating the locals no matter how I'm playing, then I'm doing something wrong. If i'm beating other d2 players, then I dont want to rub it in and encourage them to get better until after I make it to D1. xD Moreso, if theyre at my level then I know that at any given day that they had an equal shot at beating me so I just got lucky that day.

Once again, just how I think personally.

Well, you're in a different situation. I'm playing with my brothers-in-law, best friends; IE; family. Giving each other crap is what we do. If at a real field, we don't do that. Of course, we have much less opportunity to play as well, so we relish what we do get. And it's not as if we spend more than 10 minutes or so between games. We usually jaw for about 5, then load up and do it again.

My point, over all, is just that when you're out with your friends, jawing is part of the fun. Just learn to enjoy it. Otherwise you end up being the jerk who takes all the fun out of it by being too pushy.

Yea, situations are different. I travel for practices and stuff and if I'm a couple hours away and a factory team is just sitting there, I get annoyed. I came to play paintball. I paid money to play paintball. I want to play paintball. Even 5-10min is fine with me if people are turning points, but to sit there for 30min between single games pisses me off. Once again, I play in an environment where people are there to get better or this and that. You have to play to get better, and I want to be on top. I'm pushy to get games going, but I try not to cross the line into becoming a blatant poop shooter. There are other competitive types for that. In fact, outside of trying to organize games I dont say much. Once again, plenty of other people talk too much as is. xD
