allright as some of you may know i got super lucky and got a 1990 cocker for xmas this year. well heres the problem its the only cocker i got and i really dont want to do to much to it since i want it to kinda be like a collectors peice.

so i should get about 300-400 bucks that is not allready tied up. so i want to build a gun from the ground up :D

but i want some suggestions of guns that i can build in that price range, the only thing i really want the gun to have is possibly the E1 or E2 frame, though if built right it shouldnt need it.

so alrighty cocker brotheren lets hear some ideas

Start with a midblock, and go from there. Not a new WGP midblock, but grab a 2k3 body, get it midblocked by pbmodshop.com or similar (and ano'ed), then slap a Eclipse Blade (not eblade), CCM, or DYE frame on the bugger. I say Chipley pneus are good, Palmers is better, Eclipse/ Belsales is best (except you can't get the Eclipse Dart LPRs anymore, so go Microrock). ANS mini rams are good, too, if you get QEVs.

Eclipse, Chipley, or Palmer's valve, or maybe Shocktech, hammer doesn't matter much but get one kinda heavy so when it gets slotted for the midblock it still works (mine is an Eclipse, from a Rex Dialer kit). barrel kit, Stabilizer or Sidewinder if you run air, or Detonator/ Hyper 2 if you're cheap and run air, and a good ASA, I like CP. Barrel kit, and you've got yourself a beast.

Oh, and if you want a real "hot rod" of a cocker, Shocktech Bomb and frame make a really, really quick, hard, snappy cocker. Too twitchy for my liking though.

Front block: Eclipse(if you can find it) or Belsales 44 ram with QEVs, Palmers rock lpr and either a Palmers quickswitch 3 way or Shocktech bomb 3 way.
Internals:AKA valve and a Shocktech hammer
Eclipse, Dye, or Hybrid double finger frame

Everything else is up to you B)

Yeah, Mike's got a good setup... twitchy though. The Belsales 4-ways aren't quite as quick (really, really close though), but are more forgiving. Starting with a STO 4-way is good until you learn how to time, honestly. Unless you already know.

Eclipse rams are nice, but actually slower than a 1/4" bore ram. A Clippard mini/ ANS mini runs at 80psi, and goes a hair faster than a 3/8, running at 60psi. (BTW, those are optimum pressures for each, just so you know.)
