Hey so I bet this has been covered in other topics, but i couldnt find one in the last 3 months.

So people who play thereIs it a good field? Also, would it be worth going to their March Scenario?

Thanks!

I play there... a lot. Depending on schedule, I've made every scenario w/ the exception of a few for the past 3+ years. I feel it's a great place to play or else I wouldn't keep going back or buying memberships. In all honesty their pricing for scenarios is pretty amazing - they almost always have a pre-reg discount + paint prices aren't outrageous. The blown out buildings in town is something very unique plus they have dozens of acres of woods that all can come into play depending on the game.

The March game is the Kelly's Hero's event which has been a regular game for the past 4 years. I had a lot of fun last year & this year they are adding some elements to keep it fresh. This game along w/ the January games have become the only two scenarios that the owner & his staff run, the remainder of the games over the last couple of years have been taken over by two local scenario teams... ARC Troopers & 1st Strike, both of which have put together some amazing events. I'm not knocking Dave's (owner) games, but if you think you are only going to be able to squeeze one Battlefront game in this year, make it World at War:4 (ARC) or Day of Days (1st Strike). These two games are very well attended & have a crap-ton of action.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you play the MM games at TRP a lot, right? FEAR & Ronin both try to make at least one game a year here so try to talk to them about it to get their side of the story. In fact, most of Ronin will be at the February game up here (which happens to be a 1st Strike production).

Winter games are very dependent on weather. Two weeks ago we had somewhere between 60-80 in all the wind, rain, sleet & snow so March should be ok with the exception of Spring rain. I have a feeling we had well over a hundred for last years Kelly's, but if I recall correctly the weather was decent. They have pre-reg up for this one & it typically closes end of day Wednesday before the event, Dave will sometimes get on the forums & provide those final numbers on Thursday/Friday just so everyone knows what to expect, but even then he could still have 100+ show up who didn't pre-reg (not likely that many for a winter game, but still possible).

I haven't played there nearly as much as Ger, but I have been there on and off for the past 3 years and had the opportunity of running in to him at one of the scenarios. He speaks the truth when he says that their scenarios are completely worth the money! They put on a great game!!! You WILL leave feeling like you got your money worth.

Blackcell, thx for the input. I am definitely going to try battlefront out.

Is anyone going to the march game? If you are, look for the guy running a blue and gold mag, and in a blue jersey. (I wish I could be nifty w/ a pic, but I am not that special.)

As much as I can control anything that far in advance , I plan on being at the Kelly's game.

And dude, I've been trying for the last 2 years to make a MM game! Every event they have is always a bad weekend for me, whether it's a game up here or something else in life. I did just notice today that the August event this year is spaced out nicely between scenarios here & I don't imagine I have anything else happening that weekend so I'm crossing my fingers in hopes of finally making a game.

It's good to see you pipe in Brett, it's been a while . You gotta get back up here for a game again man.
