Personally i prefer going light compared to back when i was using semi's. to me its more fun knowing you only have about 100 rounds, and only ten readily available to shoot. Add's a lot more challenge to the game

Maybe he's running a Tippmann off 12 grams and 10 round tubes.

either that or he reversed them and meant two 10 round tubes per 12 gram. As most pumps can easily get 20+ shots off a 12ie. A tippy can get about 10-13 useable, depending on your FPS...but after that the rest of the shots will just bounce

Yeah that was my assumption but you always have to be sure.

I do something similar, I buy 2000 paintballs at a time because its cheaper, but I only ever have 1 hopper full on me. I don't carry any pods, and I only have a 13cu hpa tank where my stock should be.

When I'm not using my pump or my pistols, I will sometimes only carry 5 pods on me at a time...

I've never even used 5 pods in a day...

It takes skill. I can (and have) carried 14 pods at once, plus my hopper. Used them all too. It was during a final battle in a Scenario, and our team was down by slightly less than the total mission was worth, meaning if we captured the town and held it the whole hour, we'd win. So my team (all older guys and me) loaded up and sent the younger/faster people forward to grab the location right away. They were having trouble until the 6 of us rolled up with the fast guns carrying cases of paint.

Sometimes going light just don't cut it :P

I play "light" for me, just not that kind of light. When I bring a pump out, I still bring out a few pods and a 200rd hopper. SL68II FTW. :D :P

That would have to be a giant pod pack.

I usually carry my marker, a halo, a 68 3000 tank, and a dagger vest with one lock lid. During bigger games I use anywhere from 3-5 pods.
