BOG, that was the most annoying thing I have ever had to endure, and I once watched a whole Teletubbies episode. - Hobo
I don't have MAJOR problems. I have minor annoyances that YOU consider major problems.

I should have been a little more specific...

The story on the whole has certainly been done many times. But name me one movie (with any storyline) where people take control of genetically engineered alien versions of themselves, where there is a physical-psychic link between people and their horses and dragon-like things, and where the planet is itself a conscious living entity. If such a movie exists, I find it hard to believe that it was done anywhere as well as this movie.

Still, I definitely see your point. Basically, what I'm saying is that the details of this particular story captured my imagination in a way that I have rarely experienced.

Also, it's Na'vi. Not quite the same as Naboo. :dodgy:

And I'm glad we agree that the effects are gorgeous.

Ah hah. The dragonlike things bond with them is likeWith the people and the Pterabirds from Dinotopia

I was thinking Eragon, but maybe that's because I never read the book or watched the movie, or talked to anybody about it.

I saw this...it was the best experience with a movie..actually any sort of fantasy world that I've ever had. I'm not a movie critic, nor do I watch a lot of movies, but watching this, it really was amazing. It really made me want to do that kind of thing...to be Na'vi. They look so free. Maybe in the future I can have lucid dreams and revisit that place. Working on that...

Also...I saw it with some help from Mary Jane...it made it even better.

But however you watch it...you should really see it in 3D. Might be your only chance. It really is like being there. Except for the fact that it was only 24 FPS (hopefully Cameron will get his way and be able to film any subsequent films in a higher framerate) which made things like the leaves look fake (the leaves would pass in front of the characters face but because of the low FPS they did not fall smoothly), it was so immersing. I really can't wait for more movies in 3D.

To drop a quote from the movie...
[Dr. Grace Augustine] Don't stare at it, you'll go blind [/Dr. Grace Augustine]
but seriously, you couldn't have thought that was the most interesting thing about the movie....

The sounds of the horse-like things were the exact same as the Velociraptor sounds from Jurassic Park. I lol'd.
