This is my review of the Mechanix M-Pact gloves.
Just to note, this entire review was written in them B)

Last time I went paintballing, it was with my crappy old, (but reliable) 5 dollar half finger gloves. Well... it wasn't too good of a day for my hands (besides cutting my fingertips open on some rocks, the unprotected back let a paintball draw blood). So, being fed up, I remembered a post on MilSim OG about gloves. In that thread, a few people mentioned Mechanix gloves, so I decided to check them out. My local autozone has them, but only in really loud colors that I wouldn't touch with a 5 ft pole. Online, I saw they had lots of different types, a sizing guide, and even better, covert black ones. I chose the Mpact in the end due to the reminder welt on my hand and the want for alittle more protection.

Pros -
They fit perfectly (I used the guide though, and didn't just eyeball my size)
They're snug, no extra bits on the ends of my fingers, so it feels like part of my hand.
Good protection on palm. The foam in the palm is enough to protect my hands from anything, but not bulky enough to get in the way.
Great protection on back. The rubber sections on the back are really protective, but they're flexible enough not to hinder movement
Awesome grip. The thumb and pointer finger are super tacky.
Machine washable. Woo Hoo! One less thing to hose down!

Cons -
ONLY the thumb and pointer are tacky. The other 3 are sufficient, but it's nowhere near as good.
Expensive. I paid about 40 dollars with shipping.

Overall - 9.5/10 I would definately reccomend them to anyone. They're expensive, but with the level of protection they give, and with really NO loss in dexterity (although I can't feel the home row bumps :( ) they're definately worth it.

Man thats awesome that you found black ones. I had a set of the grey ones at work, I was part of the tech crew at a theatre. And I was pulling back drops and doing all kinds of work with those gloves and they are awesome! Very durable, you still have awesome dextarity(sp?) and they breathe pretty well too. To bad they belonged to the theatre otherwise I would have taken them and used them for paintball.

Yeah, usually it's hard to find all black ones, but if you check mechanix.com look under the "Covert" option, and they're all tactical black and don't have any tags in the way. Nice and stealthy
