well the team im on is trying to buy a law from somebody that makes them. well i told them that i could make one for alot cheaper. well having the design all laid out, i went out and got the stuff. assembled it together, fixed the little leaks and got it working. shooting little nerf rockets over 100 yards with a little air from a 9 ounce. i shot it about 50+ times today, all perfect. well i went to dicks sporting goods to get some 12 grams to test them. well i aired one up, got ready to fire and BLAM!!! the expansion chamber explodes over my hands, legs, and fingers. the back of the launcher exploded back and bashed into my legs giving me 2 very large bruises, the one actually killed some skin, the other is a very good welt. it gave me a 3" gash in my right wrist that bled for a while, and whacked my right index finger very well. i couldn't believe it, it blew up with a 12 gram. im lucky that it only blew apart and didn't shard apart. im lucky to not have broke anything, i cannot take pictures of my cuts and bruises because they are in bandages. but in a couple days, ill give some pictures.

TO ALL THE NEW AND OLD PLAYERS THAT WANT TO MAKE YOUR OWN HOMEMADE LAUNCHER, DONT! ITS VERY DANGEROUS, STUPID, AND UNSAFE!

Hey baby, wanna come over to myspace so i can twitter your yahoo till I google all over your facebook?

i have no idea what pvc pipe. the pressure rating was over 350 psi at 73 degrees. and i have no idea, i think the glue just broke and the pressure made it blow off. i used pvc cement. but it was really scary because my wrist bled like crazy, my legs bled, and my finger blew up twice its size

They CAN be pretty safe if you know what you're doing, and use the proper safety measures.

That said, they can also be deadly if you don't.

with a 12 gram? but with the launcher, after it was all over, the expansion chamber blew apart from the ball valve joint thing.

well you have to remember, a 12 gram is under a lot of pressure also...and a 1.5X12 expansion chamber isnt the biggest...and after multiple uses of being over pressurized...things start to get weak...and eventually break.

i guess so. it was horrible. it blew up, i started to bleed, the top part of the law launched 20+ yards, and it was very very loud. louder than a fire arm
