My freind Donny ,"played on team energy for anyone who followed tourney ball back when",use to own a field called Adrenaline Paintball. In oklahoma it was on Reno and sara road for people in my state. He took this nice land full of trees and awesome dirt (almost sand) and made a half woodsball, half speedball field.
The mistake he made was when we would go to others states and play he would leave his field with another guy. Turns out this guy didnt cut the grass or clean tables or basically didnt take care of the field. My friend Donny had to sell the feild because the guy had put him in so much debt that he had to sell his store too just to get out of it.
There is 2 lessons in this story, 1. Always keep your field in good shape. The better the shape the more people that will like/want to be there. 2. Never loan your field to anyone unless you know he is gonna do a good job at helping your business out.
I reffed for 2 years at numerous fields and there is nothing people like more that i have learned more than upkeep and politeness.

Hey man...don't dodge the swear filter. The filter is in place to keep the forums a batter place. It makes for a better atmosphere in here, something that is rare at other popular paintball forums.

Amen to that redleg...

As to the Topic of this thread... I'd want to know more... how well did Donny know this other guy before he started leaving his fiield in his hands while he went to play?? No offense meant, but if you start a business, YOU need to be the one running things until you're absolutely sure things can run smoothly IF you have to leave from time to time... and then, ONLY when you've found someone you can work with, get along WELL with and have total confidence in...

Failing those things, you're in for what Donny apparently got... Too bad, but hopefully Donny will learn from this mistake and be able to apply what he learned if and when he starts another Field...
