I have to love them, since we're sponsored by them!

I think MWB already talked to you but, as part of our sponsorship, if you need MacDev stuff, you can get it through us. We can't give you a better deal but the money goes back into the team for registration, gear etc.

As far as the release date on the 08 Cyborg goes, it probably would have come out at World Cup but they had this little surprise called the Droid that they decided to release instead. Trying to get a completely new marker plus a redesign of a current marker both out by World Cup would've likely required cutting some corners that wouldn't have been acceptable to them.

Actually, Ronin58's got ya beat there, Shadow Sniper. He had his Droid in his hands the day before they were released at World Cup :D

And yes, with the installment of MacDevUSA in Miami(?), no longer will everything have to be dealt with all the way back to Australia. Although everything's still being manufactured down under, when you order something from MacDev, it only takes 2-3 days instead of having to wait for it to cross the ocean. That also means that MD will be showing up at the major tourney events now. Give us a little time and the Irregulators might have some surprises for the scenario/woods events too.

They aren't making any more as I understand it. Most likely DVS21 would be looking at a used 06 Cyborg for around $500.

Just like me! I'm probably putting a down payment on that black 06 I PM'd you about ThirdI, and probably soon. Actually as soon as I can talk to my American relatives and see if it's okay to have it shipped there since the seller doesn't like shipping across borders.

but how do u guys think the 08 borg will compare to the droid. i know there is a huge general marker dfference in nearly every aspect, including poppet, milling, all that stuff. how do u think they will overall compare?

I don't know... it'll be interesting though.

EDIT: Hmm... I've got two very different ways to adjust the velocity of a Borg. ThirdI told me to set the HPR to 200 and use the LPR to adjust velocity, but another place says the exact opposite - set the LPR to 70-80PSI and adjust velocity with the HPR. I don't get how that second one makes sense though... so when I get my Borg I'm just going to use ThirdI's method I guess .

Adjusting the LPR for velocity is the recommended method from every MD user I've talked to, including TimberTiger and the "intelligent ones" on the MD section of PBN.

As far as the 08 Cyborg, most likely it will have a higher max BPS rating and a little bit better efficiency than the Droid but it will take on a little more weight and be an open bolt design. That's just the simple difference between poppets and spoolers. HOWEVER, I've heard rumors that there might be a surprise or 2 with the new Cyborg but I haven't a clue what that would be. 2 cases from a 68/4500? 50bps max? Shoots laser beams out of its' freakin' eyes? I dunno!
