went offroading today for the first time in a while. Went with 3 other friends and each of us had our own trucks. We found a pool from a stream coming off the mountains, and it was plenty full from a recent rain. In short I had a ton of fun. We managed to convince one of the kids to try it in his Ranger. I havn't laughed that hard in a while (in other words, he got stuck and nearly flooded his cab) :dodgy:

So I'm going with the smart plan and will have my truck transported across country instead of driving it 2500mi.

Went mudding again, came very close to getting stuck. Got it out by rocking it from Reverse to 1st over and over again. What are your guy's methods for getting unstuck?

arround 7000-8000 if it is in good condition. You might be able to get one for about 6000, too.

If your looking at a side by side for fun rather than utility, go with a Polaris Razor. Lots of fun and tough as nails. A friend front-flipped his (accidentally) and landed upside down, but still works just fine.

So Been A long time since theres been a post in here, and since spring is here...or almost here depending on what state you are in, I figured this needs to be brought back to life. I have a 02 Jeep TJ 4.0. 5.5 RE long arm lift, ford 9in rear(detroit locker), D30 front (D44 sooner or later) 4.88 gears, 37" Super Swampers. It all got installed today, and i will be picking it up on Monday, Whoo Whoo. Then its off to the trails for 4 days next week, Anyone got any trips planned?

I had decided to get my truck transported, so I left it on my last base. Well, the transport company gets there, and the person I left in charge of it (who had checked on it 3 days prior) got to where it was...and it was gone. No way a tow truck had taken it away, as they have to be inspected when coming on base and I had checked with the cops about it. Checked with the local PD, nothing. Some airman stole it.

Ah this thread..i remember last year dreaming of being able to go off roading...well after the house fire we bought 22 acres in south TN.

lots of trails running around the huge hill we are living on, bought our first 4Wheeler..having a blast, taken my 2wd pickup on the trails a few times but after the rain that stopped being a good idea....lol
