Okay i wanted to post this here before i dropped 25 bucks to get my proshop to look at it.

I fire my A-5 and 2 to 3 shots it farts and uncocks it self, at which point i have to recock and repeat. Anyone familiar with this problem?

Many Thanks in advance!

This happens to me when my tank is out of air. Check to make sure the tank is filled. That'd be the simple explanation.
If you are a Christian paintballer, put this in your sig

is it clean?
not cleaning the internals could cause this problem.

is it lubed?

are you certain the tank is full?

did you add any new springs to it recently?

Check bolt and sear.

Check that the casing screws are not too loose or too tight.

Is it Egrip? If so is there a magnetic under the noid? Does it have LEDs?

Also make sure the power tube is not cracked.

Another theory is make sure you did not swap the main spring and the cocking lever spring. Although usually on that one it does not re-cock at all.

Are the pins in the rear bolt spring?

did you air up the marker then cock it or cock it up then air it. Only times i had that issue without a tank on it was when i aired it up then cocked it. If i cocked it then aired it up like you are supposed to i was always fine

Check the O-Ring on the rear bolt, it might need replacing. I had the same problem and that fixed it.

with aftermarket parts things can get quirky. try switching the hammer back to the original, if that solves it, problem solved. but basically, take the whole thing down to the shells, clean everything, inspect everything, and go from there.

There is several possible problems that would need to be fixed.

-Broken power tube that is allowing the air pressure to pass around the seal between the hammer and valve
-Bad Hammer O-ring resulting in a similar problem as a broken power tube
-Bad or wrong main spring behind the hammer causing to light of a hit of the valve resulting in too low of pressure to re-cock the gun
-Bad hammer or trigger sear connection (though this would result in a full auto sounding burst but I'm not sure if the Zero-Kick would stop that)
-Lame mods like the Zer-o-kick. I used one once and could not get the velocity up and that was also using a Mad Man spring kit. I got rid of it and put a stock one in

Thats everything I can think of right now.
