It's been a couple of years since I have been to any games, but I'm going to try this year. I'm lookin at maybe getting a new marker this year. I currently have an A-5 and a few other markers. I am currently looking at a bob long mtec, icp B-5, or a bt tm7 or 15.
Right now the mtac is my favorite, but what worries me is that their may not be a lot of options for upgrades. I was looking at the B-5 but then I started to look at the tm7 or the tm15 and like them more, so I might pass on the B-5. I don't know much about the mtac our the tm 7 and 15 so any help will be appreciated.

I don't know much about any of those guns (besides the A5) but I would suggest the Macdev Drone. I've used one a few times and love it. It's a excellent fusion of tactical and practical.

Thanks for that info I didn't know that macdev made a scenerio type marker. I think I like it a little more than the BT. Can you tell me anything else about the drone. What I'm looking for is a marker that I can upgrade and have different options to add other stuff. What I'm worried about is buying a marker that won't have a big following. Take for instance the mtac has been out for about a year I think and I haven't really found anything that you can really do to that marker.

the old style of a5 is still probably the most moddable gat out there, and it is reliable, and easy to maintain ... do you just want something different ?

I like my a5 that I have just lookin for something different. The one thing that I didn't like about the a5 is the cyclone. Well I shouldn't say that I don't like the cyclone it has always worked good. I just didn't like that I couldn't aim down the marker from that side and when it breaks you're screwed unless how happen to have that part on hand, but I guess any marker could do that to you. I was looking at getting another marker to just to have something new and to replace some of my older markers that I would like to retire from the game since most of them are ten years old our just hard to find parts for.

Maybe try a Tac-One. They are great guns and have some customization to them.

go for the tm7 but thats just my opinion
Furthermore - if you are "deuce-ing" during a game, you have more things to worry about than camo kneepads. -ger

I wonder if I could turn one of those "Rascal" scooter thingies into an old-guy paintball tank? -Violator

Wait wait, So are you looking to play with something "Different" or are you looking to move into a higher level of Performance.
both will be completely seperate answers.

If you want to play with something different, Pumps, Autocockers especially are like a Gigantic lego box of interchangable parts. and you can get a basic sniper ( pumped Autococker) for under 180$ then between triggers, frames, mid-block, halfblock, full-block, mid-quater block block. there is a million things you can do with them.

If you want to move up.
Then look what you have now, your A-5 has a cyclone, a Centerfeed marker with a good loader on top will keep the same performace figures from the cyclone, BUT it will also allow you to play both left and right sides of a bunker equally as well.

you can look at the lenght of the marker, Both the TM-7, AGD Tac-One, MacDev Drone, and a few others will be shorter in length, ( not to mention lighter) this will help you play a bit tighter.

you can look at the materials used, the A-5 is mostly aluminum, with some stainless steel and plastic thrown in there, ( and some rubber)
Higher end markers will move to high grade aluminum (Which not only is stonger, but much much lighter)remove the plastic totally. and keep the stainless steel and rubber.

It all depends on you. but one thing to be clear on is if you want to play with something Different, or if you want to Upgrade from your current marker.
