Danijel Jagodic aka BORG, took his own life yesterday. The report is that he hung himself, and his body was discovered by his brother.

The funeral is tomorrow, Friday 19.8. at 5.00 pm in Belišće, Croatia.

Edit:

Now that I've had a few hours to digest this information, I wanted to thank all of his fans and supporters. I wish I could vividly share the story of how exciting it was to bring him to LL2. I'll never forget the conversation with Kitty & Willie when we decided to get him over here. We had to overnight a vouching letter to the US embassy in Croatia, saying that TechPB took full responsibility for him while he was in the US. He had to drive over 3 hours to meet with the US embassy to get the visa to come over. He had never been on an airplane before! He was so excited, nervous, and just overwhelmed that his fans rallied behind him, and raised the money to get him over here.

Then the exciting phone calls with Kitty & Tyger as they picked him up from the airport. He was jetlagged, exhausted, and still running on pure adrenaline as he stepped off the plane and into Chicago, his first time in the United States.

Then taking the stage at Living Legends 2, he said he was so excited pumped he was trembling. He couldn't believe what was happening, he was finally here, he had finally been recognized as one of the icons in paintball (which he truly was).

Please watch the vids, thank you.

Kitty posted this video, Borg called her the other day asking that she keep his channel going. This is huge loss for us all, I never got to meet him personally, but I have followed his youtube channel, and it is hard to lose such a great paintballer. my prayers are with his family, and friends, I know losing him will be a widespread pain, as he has friends all over the world.

Prayers sent for his family.

Tyger -- Good video. Guys, take his advice. Talk to someone you haven't in a while. Do a random act of kindness.

I didn't know him personally, but I did really enjoy his videos and used a good bit of them. Thoughts and prayers go out, may he rest in peace.

He was buried, as he requested, in his Muppet paintball jersey.

Paintball has a away of making many forget there woahs, especially when being shot at. Paintball was a luxury to him and a present everytime he could play it.

That's a bright spot in the sadness I suppose...But I'm still bummed.

I am glad to hear that he was buried in his Jersey...doesn't make me feel much better...

borg.spreadshirt.com is where you can get the t-shirts if anyone is interested. All the proceeds are going to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline, or if you are from another country they have other foundations that it is being donated to. Hopefully his death can help contribute to saving others.
