Team Lockdown will be at Sherwoood Forest in American Canyon (near Vallejo) on Sept. 19.
Its our captains' bithday, so we're going to celebrate by shooting him many, many times.
If you would like to shoot him too, c'mon down!

im moving to sacramento in like 2-3 months, but i'll be visiting / house hunting labor day week and weekend. so far ive looked around at some close fields to sac, and davis paintball looks like some fun rec.... but what's the grand daddy scenario field(S) around north cali? i dont know many names of towns or counties or anything so it has to be in relation to sac, la, frisco, etc. and what teams are out there? is the competition as fierce as in florida?

The NorCal scenario scene took a bit of a hit this year when one of the fields that used to host the TAW Scenarios got closed because Cal Trans was building a road thru it. I heard they just reopened, but havnt seen it yet...Combat Zone in Oroville. TAW is talking to some other fields in the area no for next years games.
Yes, the competition is pretty fierce. There are some good teams out here...Team Jolt, Fatal Paint, Marauders, Lockdown, Stonecutterz....

The best ones are all in the bay area, a mere 2 hours drive. I used to live in Sacramento, moved about 45 minutes north a few years ago. A tip for house hunting: look at the Plumas Lake area, unless you have to live in Sac. It's in one of the poorest counties, but the area is well away from the seedy parts, and has some REAL cheap houses. Nearest gas station is 10 minutes away, but we finally got a walgreens.

Combat Zone was poop. Though if Cal Trans built a road through it, and they moved, it might be better. The major problem with them was that during normal days, they broke up the fields into very small sections, thus making them too small to play any real woodsball games. On top of that, the speedball field they had was ridiculously small, more like a superbly small 3 man field.

I never played there on a regular day, just scenarios where they open up the whole field. Good place for big scenarios...we did a few 300 player games & they rocked.
