with all these issues that i have read with skirmish form past to present, lets just say they havent come close to selling me yet, even on the smaller games.....

There were just some big issues with I.O.N. If you feel strongly about it just don't go to that one game.

All the reviews I have seen said there were issues, but all in all they still had a good time and some people didnt.

The only way to find out is to experience yourself. And what other people see as an issue, you might not think its that bad.

If people went on reviews only, alot field would be closed down.
You know that feeling you get, like someones watching you........It's just Me!..........

...and really, it's based upon a person's perception also.

For instance:

At ION 07, I played on the German side. I'd be an idiot to think (or even imply) that all the players on the German side were exemplary in their behavior. I'd be a fool to even try to float that by the noobiest of noobs...

However, my Team was cut off from most of the events going on that day until about 1400 hours, when we finally reached The Hood. It was there, that I saw the things I myself had complained about...but didn't see anyone near me (on the German side) doing the same things I saw the Allies did. Now that doesn't mean that stuff didn't happen...just that I myself didn't see it (or I would have acted on it...believe me).

I also played on the German side for both Stalingrad and Berlin in 07. I had a freaking blast at both games, only having one issue with reballs in-bound on the one game (I believe it was Berlin). Other than that, not one issue for me to female dog about.

ION was a huge game, covering at least 500 of the 700 acres and 4300+ players is a lot of people slinging paint.

Smaller games are typically more contained by geography and lesser player counts. Stalingrad and Berlin games are generally better games all the way around. There are [typically] less instances of foulness going on and if it does, is caught pretty quick.

I would have zero problems attending a game of under 1000 people at skirmish.... 250 would be pretty sweet actually. But anything over 1000, after seeing stalingrad and hearing the tales of Ion 07, I'm just not interested. Its a lot harder for the cheaters and delinquents to hide among 250 people than it is for them to hide among 4000+. Bigger is NOT always better.

That appears to be in reference to this thread posted earlier on PBNation.

Looks like Engler was mistaken for whatever reason... unless Skirmish is making an incredibly stupid move and denying that they're going to sell Zap just a week before selling Zap.

I can't wait to see where he got his information.

Engler isn't mistaken, unless you're referring to the
part where he talks about players being able to use
left over paint they bought there earlier. Draxxus
is NO LONGER the paint supplier for Skirmish, don't
know how to make it any more clear than that.

Sincerely,

Andy

I would like to know where you got this information? Being that we shoot draxxus at Skirmish on a regular basis, and a fresh shipment is comming in for Stalingrad.

"Well I'm glad to see that this post has quickly degraded to the normal banter we have come to know and love on this forum.

Now let me say that what I intended to post was the "word on the street" and all intended was to get some clarification on the matter not to stir up anything.

Nixxvalor has cleared this up for us. Thank you

What we now know is that more that one paint will be for sale at Stalingrad.

That Zap and Origin are made in the same factory and that Draxxus Blaze will be sold to players as well for at least Stalingrad. This is a good thing too.

Now if I had this to do all over again I would probably just sit back, have a drink and call a few friends what I heard and not tell the paintball world what I just heard on the street.

Again if I have upset anyone I apologize. Let's get this winter over with and get to playing paintball.

Perhaps Draxxus is no longer the exclusive supplier? Nyxx works at Skirmish, and what paint they sell is a pretty verifiable fact, so if she says they're still selling Draxxus paint, I'm going to believe her until shown otherwise.

bravo...all of them. At least 500 of the 700 acres are used for the event.

I went to paint the world last year and it was horrible(unless you were not on my team)
1)Our team was Outnumbered( i think it was like 30 againts 100 at one point)
2)The 2 teams against us teamed up
3)Intro to the game took way too long
4)Air was Far away

Also Skirmish charges way too much for paint. When you go you have to buy with 11 other people to get it for a decent price.
