EDIT: Sorry about the typo in the title, I took my time in the post to check for them, but missed the one in the title.

I have been thinking about purchasing a PMR for a few months now, and I believe I have finally decided to drop some cash. But before I did I had some questions about the marker.

-I was planning on getting the PMR in Olive but it seems as though no one is carrying them anymore. Has the Olive color been discontinued? I also noticed that the Blue PMR seems to be unavailable almost everywhere I look.
-I love the idea of the T2W stock (Don't love the price too much but I can't change that), but I would like to see a picture of one on a PMR before I purchase one. I tried using the search, but couldn't seem to find a picture.
-All the reviews I have read, and people I have talked to about the marker seem to say that trigger is the weakest point in the marker, followed closely by the feedneck. Any truth in those claims?

I'm also open to any suggestions for other markers also. Preferably I would like an electro, but I could possibly be persuaded into something else.

I'll add more questions if I think of any.

Thanks in advance!

I guess writing up a post at 2 in the morning makes your brain not work. I forgot to ask one of the main questions I made the thread for.

-Is the stock frame all that bad? Bad enough to merit getting the UL Frame right off the bat?

You never heard this from me but ....

Dye is discontinuing the PMR and SLG. That's why they are running out of colors. No other reason.

Discontinuing the SLG already? It hasn't even been a year since it was released, has it? I guess its sales weren't quite what they expected...

Wait for world cup - something new is coming out.

The SLG had bolt problems. The ball would roll back off the detent. The bolt seemed a bit short. The over all configuration didn't take too well. Highend guys just never got into a trip sear. Dye/Proto had a reputation and they shouldn't have gone below the PMR SE in quality IMO.

Ah. I wasn't aware the SLG had so many problems. And I figured they'd replace the PMR some time, and Cup does sound like a likely time (seeing as everything comes out either at Cup or HB really).

If you noticed the SLG's dropped to $200.00. Ridiculously cheap for what they are.

The PMR's were considered 07 and SLG's 08.

The PMR was a good marker but it doesn't have the Hyper 3 Reg. True it can take the Hyper 3 ASA but with the Hyper 3 matrix threading a new marker can be smaller and tighter.

It's a great marker. It has a lot of upgrades. Spare parts everywhere. Hyper 2 reg rocks.

Remember the PM5, PM6, PM7, DM6, DM7 .... are all discontinued also. However still great markers.

Dye isn't out of business or out of PMR parts. They are revamping the whole line-up next year (Dye and Proto.)

When you enter highenders things last for 2 maybe 3 years at best. This is more SP directed than other companies. Dye never had a body last longer than one year before the PMR.

You make valid points, I made my previous post in a bit of a panic without thinking. This is my first Dye/Proto marker so this is a whole new world to me. Neither Dye nor Proto are going anywhere anytime soon and the parts will continue to be available so yeah...

I'll keep it :P

I have a PMR SE with a T2W stock (I will post a pic when I find my camera) I've had it for a few months now and have had zero problems. So far it has proved to be both accurate and reliable.

My feedneck didn't last long...my fault, but I just didn't like it.

I actually like the trigger, it's not that bad.
