lol i loveee watching guy reffs at the field. they always sit there with there hands over their nuts, look like theyre feelin themselves up or something. once i bet one of the refs i really dont like to go a whole day without standing like that for 5 bucks. about 3 minutes in to the first game, he gets shot right next to his man-area. Needless to say i won that bet, and yes im a cruel heartless female doggie

That ok, i stand there with my arms crossed over my upper women all day when i ref. just still, funniest position ever. and really i never understood the whole ref towel thing. so doesnt work

random rant: as far as i can tell, those stupid little panels on the front of speedball pants dont protect a guy at ALL, and just make it harder to run, specially for a girl. that said, the one day i didnt wear those pants like normal i got shot 'down there'. IT HURTS DAMNIT so im not gonna complain that much

ive seen a guy who wears compression shorts get shot in the nuts before on a few different occassions (i play with him a lot). He got shot once in the nuts with it and said it didnt hurt as much as getting hit without em but he still felt it, kinda like a normal hit. Then that same day running across a bridge he took 3 to the crotch (different not-so-friend aimed there). he fell off the bridge, and wears a cup now.

True- a cup in speedball can do as much damage to da boys as getting hit. Them cups can PINCH!!! :D

That's why I like sliders. Becc, you ARE a bit of a sneaky snake making that bet, but I still loves ya, even though you're making fun of a VERY SENSITIVE topic for guys- haha :) Would a chest protector help keep the girls safe? Never owned one, so I don't know how well they work for either sex. I imagine a shot to the twins would not be fun, so do they even make a vest or other protective device for women?

lol. a sneaky snake eh? and lol i get made fun of enough i think the guys deserve a bit of a teasin back. lol team meeting/party, guys decided to go through my purse. knowing what theyd find, i let them. as a wise woman named robin once said, careful of whats inside that little zipper pocket on the inside of a woman's purse. lol. ive never heard more disgusted screaches from drunk men before.

As far as chest protectors go... generally theyre fundamentally flawed in that they wont FIT over a girls, um, girls. So really theyre pretty much useless. especially since they dont cover side shots, and those are the ones that hurt most.

Idk, they just really arent a big enough deal to me or i'd invest in one of the lacrosse or fencing women's chest protectors (theyre like a cup for your boobs i guess, but theyre really expensive) its about a once-a-day hit for me, and they make me tear up a bit sometimes but its really just as bad as a throat shot. my friend got one (she has some very very large breasts) after her first shot ever in paintball was 5 to the chest during a close-range speedball match. it was the only way i could get her to play again, but theyre like $60 for a really cheep one

Yeah I don't think playing any type of paintball with a cup on would be a good idea. Those things are very uncomfortable. Although I may try the towel trick.

Is she single!?

Sorry, had to. I was actually surprised no one has.

As far as protection, I have not had the honor of taking a hit there. I have targeted people I don't like so much and only gotten close......no, my aim isn't bad, it's just such small target!

I have always wondered what the best option would be. I hated wearing a cup in football. PITA. Compression............that just makes me nervous when it's referring to down there......makes me think of the SAW movies and some horrible device.

Slider shorts? Is this a baseball, or soccer thing, or is it just a paintball thing that I'm unaware of? I have never had the privilege of these either.

Yeah, I would almost limp from the chafing from a cup by the end of the day. Not cool. But, I'm confident in a folded up towel or a PB pant/slider short combo that I might be getting. I know I'm getting the pants portion.

But although i've never gotten shot there, I've taken pain from other sources, and almost passing out from an improperly tied climbing harness. THAT was not cool.

I think any guy that ever had to wear a cup for any sports hates them. Slider shorts made by companies like Dye are designed especially for paintball, nchittendon. They have a nice bit of comfortable padding and protection for the bouts, as well as some in other areas where you're likely to slide while playing speedball, or woods, for that matter. Take a look here for a few ideas about what they look like and how they work.

And Becc, it's not nice to tease the little boys with "feminine products" concealed in your purse! It's evil and funny as hell! Nicely played.

Ok....thinking about getting a pair of sliders...
Question: Do you wear your undies under 'em or go commando? Like, are they pb underpants?

It's a matter of personal choice and temperature, IKE. If you're feeling really daring, go undies OVER sliders!

I wouldn't wear boxers under sliders, but briefs are OK, again depending on various factors. I'd like to think most guys would go undies under, since the shorts can get sweaty, dirty, and torn.

I did manage to find out that Dye did make a paintball bra at one point, and here's a company that makes something that might work for the gals. I also remember years ago seeing a pink "paintball bra" that looked really goofy- kind of like two pink British WWI helmets tied together with white elastic. Probably an ad in an old APG or something... I'll have to look.

Hmmm....

Well, if they're generally not used as underwear.....What is the grossness factor of getting a used pair?

I dunno if I'd do that, but I am just curious.

Well, if you can verify they've not been commando-ed in, that's one notch off the ick meter. :(

If you wash them in real hot water with a touch of bleach at the end, that should kill any possible critters, bacteria, etc.

There's always the "Aliens" approach- Nuke 'em. It's the only way to be sure. Boiling water will do a good job of disinfecting/sanitizing.

Of course, to be 100% sure- save up the 50 bucks and buy new.
