They use different valves. One is a stacked tube poppet and the other is a single tube spool valve.

Very much agreed. I'm sure there was a time when you didn't know that either.

But...I'm not getting it, I was just wondering (as stated in my first post).

And if I knew, I wouldn't have made a thread about it.

So don't post at all if you're not going to give a positive response to my question.

The Droid is a single tube, spool valve marker - kinda like a DM or PM or Shocker, but a lot more efficient than any of those :dodgy:. The Cyborg is a stacked tube poppet valve - a lot like a Timmy or Ego. The Cyborg will be a little more efficient than the Droid but a little louder, and theoretically with more "kick," which I still don't really think you can say most Cyborgs have. Mine barely moves at all when you shoot it (almost imperceptible little vibrations, although if you start shooting ropes you can notice it if you're specifically trying to feel for kick), so I'd imagine a Droid stays rock steady altogether with no movement :P.

The 04 Cyborg came first, then the 05, then the Sonic, then the 06, then the 07, and then MacDev came out with the Droid for 08. This year they should be releasing another poppet-valve-style marker at World Cup at the end of October. I don't know if it's still going to be called the Cyborg but that's basically what it will be, but even better ;). And the Cyborgs are already very impressive markers.

Z3ro covered it really well. The Droid is a little lighter and lower profile than the Cyborg due to having a single-tube valve system (Automags, DMs etc.) rather than a 2-tube system (anything from a Spyder to an Ego).

Z3ro did miss one marker in his history though! I'm pretty sure the first one was actually the Sonic Autococker in 02 or 03, something like that.

Well I just meant between the Droid and Borg... but yea, MD's first marker was the Sonic Autococker. Those, along with AKA roundbody Merlins, are my favourite looking Cockers.
