If you don't mind getting shot in the legs, then its perfectly fine. Just don't expect to do much sliding or kneeling unless you want your knees and legs torn to pieces.

I've played in shorts a pretty decent bit, woodsball and speedball both, and never really had any problems. Of course a direct hit to the legs will hurt a little bit more...but as long as you don't mind some extra sting you should be good to go.

Only if you're allergic to poison ivy. Some of us aren't. *Raises Hand*

SO should make some camo shorts...

I've never had a problem with poison ivy...only time I had an issue was when it got into a cut and left a decent mark...The biggest issue I've found is thorns...ecspecially if you are in a group and followig someone and they let it swing, that hurts regardless..but directly into the flesh is worse.

you will have more ill effects from the "woods" than the "ball" .... you should get some knee pads tho ... kneeling down on a hard root is a killer on the knees

Camo shorts would kind of defeat the purpose of camo in most situations. Hey look a bush with legs! I believe I'll shoot it.

But I might wear them when I'm not playing paintball.

I wear a kilt when I play....cargo shorts are kinda tame after that.

Yes you are fine to wear them. Seen it done countless times.

Most season shorts player wear long thick sock sthat cover the shins. A good sock is the type they also use in softball/baseball. Easy to find as well.
Personally I wear the full knee/shin pads since I crawl and slide alot while playing.
