Are Zap Rec series any good. I've heard they hurt and sometimes don't break.

it's true that they sometimes don't break, and pain is part of the game, but these are very true-flying balls for the price. very good for casual "outlaw" play (due to their price and relative effectiveness), but many fields don't allow them.

For Outlaw or Rec use it is good paint. Make sure you check each bag for flat spots, dimpled paint before leaving the store. I have used it for a couple of years with little trouble.

really? with my spyder, Zap Rec paint works like a charm (1 break in 1500 last Sunday), but blue streak breaks about 5% of the time I fire my marker. O well, stick to what works with your weapon.

they are fine but cheaply made. they tend to not break as much as higher quality balls. They also tend to not be uniform is shape. If u look closely one out of 30 or so will be eggish in shape. but other than that its fine for target shooting or woods ball. I was talking to a field owner about them and he denies that they dont sell them because they want to sell more expensive balls but that there are some liability factors with using any ball not designated tornument grade.

A friend of mine used them a couple of weeks ago in his spyder and now swears by them because they are 1 CHEAP, 2 shot good in his gun, 3 quality to price ratio. I think he's going to stick with them from here on out. As far as not breaking I don't know if he had many troubles. It's not that he shoots people from close distances, but closer than most other guys we play with because he charges very frequently.
There are few things better than owning your own outlaw field.
