By reticle do you mean a crosshairs? Because a red dot is a type of reticle, isn't it?

Yes but if thats what he meant then I'm sure hes referring to dot vs crosshairs.

If that is what he meant then I prefer crosshairs. Its easier for me to make calculations for longer shots.

Either one. The red dot is more practical because you can see more of your target. However if you have trouble seeing the actual dot, a reticle would be a better choice.

They're both fine, but I would recommend crosshairs. It seems to me that they would help to get the middle of the reticle in the middle of the target.

crosshair is so much bette in my opinions. I find it is easier to do your range estimation.

I like red dot, cuz u can keep BOTH eyes open and it then looks like a laser dot on your target.

Since my trajectory is pretty flat (thank you flatline), I don't need to do much range estimation. It's on target for a broad selection of range.

I like crosshairs over a red-dot, mostly because I hate having to use batteries, but I don't want any magnification so I'm mostly stuck with a red-dot without paying for an expensive sight.

Look at the NCStar D4B sight. you can change the reticle: Crosshair w/ dot, crosshair w/target, target , and dot.

i like my dot, because you dont haveto be lined up right behind your sight to be on target, the dot moves with you..
