Oh, wow! I thought Thorax quit.. Guess I got more competition around here

Rise against. What else is there to say?

Fail.

Sorry, but Rise Against lost my respect and they can't have it back. Heroes of War is literally the only song I've ever deleted off of my Itunes library.

I don't like that song either.. Doesn't "sound" good to me, and the lyrics are...meh

...however I'm not going to ignore a band simply because there is one song I don't like; that's silly.

I am addicted to Cypress Hill. Just throwing that out there. Their first album is pretty awesome, but I don't know why it has the lamer version of Real Estate on it rather than the one for the music video which is on YouTube, and a lot better... Sen Dog throws down.

LOL at getting addicted to Cypress Hill, knowing their music and demographic and all. But yeah, I've always like 'em. "Hand on the Pump" is some good stuff.

Are you agitating my dots? 10%

I'm too broke to go to concerts currently. But Oct 7, I'm seeing A Day To Remember/In Fear and Faith/I See Stars. I WILL see them, even if I have to skip out on a funeral.

I changed my mind about Kid Cudi.

He's an awful awful rapper.

But I like his lyrics for the most part, I like the themes, I love the production and the album as a whole is executed really well.

And The Blueprint 3 is one of my favorite albums of the year. So good.

Five Finger Death Punch CD Release Party kicked ass! Best seat in the house before I jumped into the mosh pit. I was standing at the bar, with the stage within reach. Plus they came out and partied with us after their freaking AWESOME show. And Ozzy Osbourne's producer was in the crowd, another awesomeness. Their show is fricken AWESOME. So much energy. They are great showmen! After I jumped out of the mosh pit I got even closer...

yesterday at the LSU vs ULL football game in tiger stadium, the golden band from tiger land (LSU's marching band) played the jurassic park theme. it was amazing.

at the beginning of the 3rd quarter they played livin on a prayer to taunt the other team.

and right before halftime was up, they blared welcome to the jungle over the stadium speakers.

Can someone hit me up with a good drummer and bassist combo? Some type of jazz would be preferable.

Alright guys. I need some input here.

For writing we have to write a long ass paper over the semester, and it all ends with an oral report we give to the class with a 5 minute long presentation. My professor says to use power point or posters, something like that.

Anyway, my topic is on deforestation and climate change, and I hate doing oral reports, so I had this idea...

I read the Lorax today, and the Chili Peppers are one of my favorite bands. They paid homage to Mr. Seuss with Yertle the Turtle, and I got to thinking... what if for my project my friend and I recorded the Lorax. Sample some sick drum beat, then write a song (he plays guitar, I play bass) over it. Then we take turns rapping/singing the vocals. We would make it funny and wouldn't be FRAGing around with the actual musical components. I would try my hardest to make it more fun, creative, and interesting though above all else.

I would play the recording for the class.

If you were in my class, what would you think? Maybe a little too lame? I just really like music.

Has anybody ever heard of Texas Hippie Coalition. They sound a bit like Pantera or Black Label Society.
