LOL. IMO, Ollie Lang is the closest to Tiger Woods. Lang has won every tournament or title there is to be won in paintball, not just once but twice. He is the most widely recognized person in paintball and has the highest salary of any professional paintballer.

Ollie won Millenium series? :dodgy:

Yeah, Lang, LaSoya, or Troll are the most famous.
Look through any paintball magazine that's not Recon (biased). Dye has at least a half dozen adds, all with either Lang or LaSoya...except the one DM7 one I say with Ryan Williams...and Troll probably has more APG covers than anyone.
My job is to be an asshole. I excel at the position.

Skill isn't the question.
We're talking about fame.
No one outside of the paintball world will know Rusty or Nicky. They might know Matty from the ESPN showings of Commanders Cup when he was the host, and they might recognize Troll because he has that cool mohawk....otherwise, they don't know them. A lot of people have heard of Ollie.

best tourny player? or best paintballer?

i highly doubt the best player in paintball has million dollar contracts and plays paintball on ESPN. Theres a good chance whoever this person is could care less about about those things, and I doubt he/she needs the leading edge in equiptment and bounce engineered clothing to compete in paintball.

.

Arnold Palmer actually lives in my city of Latrobe. He came to our school before. I would say Yosh Rau is the Tiger Woods of paintball.

I don't know about Millenium. Ollie does play for the Hungary Bullets, though.

Straight quote from Ollie: "I have won every tournament and title that there is to win, not once, twice but three and four times, all by the age of 23. I have done some of the most amazing things, and been to the most amazing places, and met the greatest people in the world."

Ollie Lang for the most famous and most well-paid player in the game since it's inception.

Matty Marshall is like John Madden... the famous commentator/announcer.

And he tells you exactly what you already knew, but he tells you it in an interesting way.
I remember one line he said during the NPPL Commander's Cup on ESPN.
"Oh and there you see [player] taking the walk to the dead box. His team won't win if they keep losing bodies like that.'

I just had to stop and think about that for a second...it was so obvious, yet so important it still needed to be said :P
