Alright... I'm looking for a backup/s**t hits the fan gun. I usually run with my T68 (I feel that the limited mag capability balances the playing field when it's me vs walk-ons) but my new team tends to get paired against semi/professional teams lately who are running with Angels and the like and I find 180 paint-balls doesn't cut it in those match ups. I've narrowed it down to one of 2 (realistic) choices either BT's Delta Elite

or A Tippy X7 Phenom

So far they seem fairly neck and neck:

The X7 has +2BPS over the BT
The BT has ramp up
BT has that APEX which has more options than a standard flatline.

So here is my question: Which is more consistent (as in hits the same spot more often AND less breaks) and which would you buy?

Personally I'd love a Bob Long M-Tac

, but that monster is expensive... (but seriously! 26+BPS!)

i would get the Phenom.

its regulated so you get more shots, Tippmann has pimp customer service and practically covers everything when it breaks (even if your outside that warranty date)you can use the marker if the battery is dead.

unless if you have a very thick wallet to buy lots of paint, you really dont need to shoot anything over 6-7 bps.. 1 or 2 shots usually puts the average players head back behind the bunker anyway. i would not really care if someone has to shoot 180 rounds at me to try and eliminate me... in fact i think its kind of sad that people need to do that..

I would think a better comparison would be the X7 vs. the TM15...then i would go with the BT, I just don't like the Cyclone.

EDIT:
but if money is not an option...go with the M-Tac

Keep in mind you want a 'backup' marker. So ideally this wouldn't be an overly expensive purchase. Owning a Phenom myself, I can say it's a nice piece of work. I've stripped it down to clean it and wow is it a breeze. I endorse it fully however I cannot speak for the BT. Best of luck.

They may be neck and neck on features but the Phenom is an electro vs a mechanical BT.

I'm not a fan of the flatline barrel but you can always put an Apex tip on the Phenom.

Cool guys, thanks! The guy at my local pro shop likes the Phenom better as well. I made an interesting plan though... just gonna see what I can save per week... whatever I have in 3 months will decide on phenom or... *dun, Dun, DUUUNNN* Mtac.

I'm a go big or go home kinda guy...

Hence why I look like this:

Phenom. You won't regret it.
